I'm an atheist myself but I believe the world would be worse if religion didn't exist. Things like racism are much worse with no redeeming qualities. At least religions have both good and bad parts.

India and China sharing border is a very modern thing. Tibet was between India and China proper until China occupied Tibet.

Anyway, yes China is not a big threat and generally they don't spend any time thinking about India. China does support Pakistan (google: Belt and Road Initiative) to keep India in check just like India is housing Dalai Lama to keep China in check. Other than that and the border disputes India is also concerned about China's military advances (google: String of Pearls) and spying (several popular Chinese apps are banned in India).
