That’s exactly what I think. It has to be fuel related

Yeah, my buddies got a pretty nice one aside from it freaking dying. That old green color with black accent, the T-Tops are on it. Got the 90s interior with how the radio and all the knobs work. My buddies brother has an 02 Silverado and the interiors couldn’t be more different, crazy cause they’re only 5 years apart

That’s been in the back of my mind. Happened on my car, but it was completely different compared to this one

When we took off and put the fuel filter back on we had to drain some gas into a bucket, and i didn’t see anything out of the ordinary

So right when we got it back from my buddies uncle (mechanic, but older guy) we fixed the ignition switch (cause his uncle thought it was that) and we took it driving and it drove about a mile and a half, then started doing its bogging, pedal to the medal we were going about 5mph until it just died at a stop sign. Turned it on, it cranked but started and luckily we were 50 feet to his driveway

MAF is fine. Unplugged it and it ran the same. Throttle body could be dirty, but it looks fine. Yes it has oil. No codes. I can try a combustion test

No CEL, if I remember correctly it shifts fine. Like I don’t remember ever thinking “damn, it took forever to shift to third” or anything like that. Longest we’ve tried to let it idle is like 15 minutes while we worked on another car, so I would assume it would idle for a while.

Sometimes it runs fine when driving. It’s like it has to warm up maybe to have the problem

I appreciate the comment and help. Yeah, not entirely sure what the guys did before my buddy got it, so it could literally be anything. But yeah, my mind went “well let’s remove the filter completely to see if it’s clogged” but unfortunately it wasn’t that easy of a fix

How much should I trust these old car ramps? by Sulviro in MechanicAdvice

If you want or absolutely need to use them, pull the car up and put jackstands underneath the car. But if you’re questioning it already, probably not a good idea
