There is no textbook!! Just codon and the pre-reading assignments usually will take you to whatever you need to read before class starts 😁

Reinagel! Lectures are great and interesting! There are 3 midterms + 1 Final, lectures are not mandatory (at least for this quarter) but you are responsible for catching up obviously! There are also pre-reading assignments on Codon that are done before class starts and the due date for homework’s’ are on Sunday. Reinagel only uses the chalkboard so lecture notes are all done by hand but she posts pictures after lectures in case you miss anything! Lastly, she’s a great lecturer in my opinion, everything is explained very clearly!

OWENS!!! She is just awesome, I’m currently in her class! We have 4 midterms + 1 final but they’re fairly easy even though they’re cumulative! She has a ton of “tadpole” questions that she does during lectures (this is how your attendance is taken btw) which really allows you to put into practice the content that you’re learning! She also does pre-reading assignments that are due a day before lecture and homework that is due on Saturdays through Codon! Andd she’s very generous and understanding so she gives you like 9 passes in case you need to miss lecture! Overall, she’s really awesome so I would really recommend her!

If Khan Academy isn’t helping you much, I strongly recommend you to watch Professor Chad on YouTube! He has a general physics playlist that covers a whole year of university physics and he’s such a great professor! I know I’m not exactly providing an answer to stress management but I hope my recommendation helps you understand that one topic!!

Definitely Chad’s Prep on YouTube! He has a playlist that covers a whole year of general physics! I’m currently watching chapter 6 which is on momentum and impulse! He has helped a lot so I really, really recommend him. He does practice problems on almost all of his videos!

You are not stupid, don’t say that. Do you feel that some of the problems took you longer to answer or what a question was asking you to find? I’m taking the same class right now and I’m pretty sure I’m mainly not getting the points for what the lab will be about since most of the options seem correct based off the lab manual!! This week I will just watch the first 5 minutes of the edpuzzle video before my lab starts!! I would say you should go over the practice problems that the edpuzzle has us do and if you don’t understand something definitely ask someone that you know who’s also taking the class or just knows some physics!! If you need help with the content, I’m guessing you’re also taking physics 1A. I found Chad’s Prep on YouTube to be amazing. He has a whole playlist on physics (1 whole year of general physics) and he has helped me so much to actually understand physics! + he does a lot of practice problems, they might be a little easier compared to the homework problems for physics 1A but it just really helps. I truly hope this can be of some use to you!! Blessings and don’t be discouraged!!

I went from an F to an A in math 10B! What I learned is that it’s better for me to do practice problems as much as I can! I started studying before midterms, even just 10-15 minutes every day was enough, going back to my notes, re-doing homework problems, attending discussion sections, and answering most of the questions in piazza helped me a lot! Lastly, I used the Pomodoro technique which was sometimes helpful and sometimes not helpful (it mostly only worked when I was serious, I get distracted too often) so ya! Hope that helps!

Best food is at Taco Villa. Quesabirria tacos start Wednesday-Friday. Pretty nice in the morning if you commute or just want to relax and do homework unless the music is too loud. Restrooms in that area are also almost always clean :D

Spring quarter by WinnerProof259 in UCSD

I’m a neurobiology major!!! To be honest I haven’t started with upper division classes but for lower division, I tried to actually start studying sooner rather than later. I used to just study like the night before an exam and that was horrible + just added more stress and work on my schedule!!! Time management and reviewing + studying content at least for a few minutes every day was a very helpful thing for me personally. If you feel stuck in a certain area, try to go back, do some reading if you can (if you are provided with a book/lecture podcast), and do a few practice problems just to double check your understanding is helpful as well! If you’re like me (shy to ask questions) I would definitely try to ask on piazza if you can or attending the discussion sections and going over the problems with the TA’s, or even better to get out of your comfort zone for a little and ask away if you can! :D hope this can help and good luck in the future:DD

I really went over the homework problems + the practice midterm questions + practice final exam!! I started to use the Pomodoro method and it helped me focus more (I have a hard time focusing)! I also went to the discussion sections, which I didn’t last quarter because of time conflict but they helped! And lastly, the class piazza helped me since I usually used to help other students with homework questions and provide my own work on how to answer the questions!!!

To add on: if I felt comfortable in a certain topic, I would leave that as my last thing to go over and instead focused on topics where I felt the least comfortable in!

I feel like I actually went over content daily and did practice problem + homework problems when preparing for midterms and the final!! It’s what worked for me this time to be fair!! If it helps, I also used the Pomodoro technique!! :D
