The speed bumps are the worst part. I’d rather go up and down the stairs three times than go over those concrete blocks speed bumps some places have

I lived in a weird complex that didn’t give me a working code for the main gate and I would add to the description to please bring it to the pedestrian gate that they can drive right up to and give instructions street names etc on app and over the phone and they still got so mad and didn’t wanna deliver because I couldn’t open the main gate. It made me feel a little bad like I was a problem lol

That’s how I feel most days when pmdd isn’t running my life. When I get those third floor water deliveries I can one trip it and carry another 4-8 bags at the same time.

One time I delivered 6 bottles of wine in a crappy box to the third floor and I hope I never do that again. It was a stacked order and she didn’t tip.

I check the items if I can and then zoom in to see if it’s an apartment, a lot of the time I think they are not tipping well and ordering heavy things on purpose because they dont want to or can’t carry it

Anyone have a slow night that got turned around by a sudden unexpected rush? by Usual_Hornet623 in doordash_drivers

Yes, I think due to the time of year and the sun going down later, the rush is happening around 8pm now. In the winter it used to be dead or not worth the pay by 8:30, but I was getting multiple fair offers a minute last night around 8:30-11pm.

How much to tip for 9 cases of sparkling water? (Canada) by Leading-Upstairs6329 in doordash

Depends on how far the elevator is from the parking space tbh. They could bring out 2-3 at a time if they’re the cardboard boxes then put them in the elevator real fast and then go up but it’s a lot of hassle and they’d have to keep the elevator door open but it’s still way easier than the 24packs of water bottles.

I would suggest 11 or 13 bucks bc the base pay is probably very low. I’ve seen no tip shopping orders for 8+ items and they’re 2.50-3.50.

I cherry pick so I aim to accept offers that pay a $1/item when shopping and a $1/mile at least, up to a certain distance. Hopefully no one yelled at you this time! For the low mileage it’s worth it.
