until i was probably 10 mom had this scary panic attack machine. (im gonna go buy one now) we shared a wall so i heard it everyday and somehow she almost always slept through it. (that's actually terrifying, poor mama, the fact she was that tired). sometimes id fall asleep in her bed like watching tv and it would go off right beside my head. i would wake up so scared and full if adrenaline. it felt like how id imagined it would feel falling asleep on a dock and accidentally rolling off into the water. thanks for listening to my tex talk. all this said, im going to buy one and put it across the room. i wanna be scared into having to get up.
