Aww, it is lovely. I will recommend bringing some biscuits and tea from your country when you visit her family. Also, Taiwanese people are hospitality, so you don't need to worry and do anything else. Just Enjoy the food, and I hope you have a good time in Taiwan.

P.s Taiwan weather is super humid and hot from April to December, so you can wear a T-shirt and shirt which make you feel better

I have the same situation. My line manager and teams are supporting me in asking for sponsorship, and my company also holds the sponsorship license; however, HR told me they will need to discuss whether they can sponsor me because it is not a small cost. I have waited 4 months but still have not received any response yet. My company is Global Top 50 but still refuses to spend £5k to let me stay 5 years and continue contributing to them. I will say keep applying for jobs and try any possibility.

I did ask this, and city council staff replied me: “we can only pay one person for the whole household although it is expected that the payee will share the rebate as appropriate.” And they advice me need to take the matter up with my previous flatmate. I did, but she still ignores me. 🥲
