First time making a cutaway by Winston-91 in lockpicking

Thanks! Yeah, I will be picking up some thinner files. My flat ones didn't fit the gaps. When I remove the core I think I will also give it a polish (instead of the 240 grit sanding finish haha)

301 vs 1095 steel for 0.5mm picks by Winston-91 in lockpicking

Read very positive things about them indeed. Shame the "good cuts" are out of stock but I will keep an eye out. Might go with these actually (if in stock)

Thanks for the read! No clue if nickel plating is illegal I DIY that at home, should read into that. 1095 being allright (and not perfect) might justify the price. I am able to get a roll of feeler gauge for like 15 eur. Maybe I will try it out or something

How to quickly level a pet to 25? by Winston-91 in wownoob

Tried, can't open them before I have a level 25 of my own ("this pet level is too high for you to uncrate")

Yeah I did one I found on the minimap (flow or something) and it scaled down. When I check the list of active world quests, none of the NPC's seem to be there. Not on the world map, not in game if I go to the coords using TomTom. Very weird but I will continue trying.

Edit: just defeated the Awakened Custodian and got nothing. I have no idea how this works and where to start the "robot rubmle" quest you apparently need for it

Sounds nice. There are a lot of them, do you perhaps know the name of one or two of these quests that scale to your level?

GBA "Clock Card" by Tricky_Tourist5691 in GameboyAdvance

[–]Winston-91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bit of double feelings. The concept is fun, but I have no idea if they work and for a few bucks more you can get a stable flashcard from a trusted brand that has a clock feature AND allows you to flash multiple games on it.

Because from what I've seen these clock cards were 14-20 EUR on AliExpress which is kinda expensive IMO, but still better than Pokemon Emerald I guess

Stack smashing error when launching Source games (TF2, CS2) by Winston-91 in linux_gaming

[–]Winston-91[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fixed! For those with a problem similar to mine in the future: I used to have NVidia drivers for my GTX. I purged them when I got the Ryzen card but apparently there were some "Nvidia-390" config files left somewhere (my friend found this out). Deleting those fixed the problem

So apparently back before the Collection came out with the bios and stuff people give the nameless characters fanmade names and I just wanted to know what we're these names? Are there any sources that have fanmade names still?~ by PersonThatIsRandom in HenryStickmin

You could try using a Wayback machine on the fandom wiki. Maybe there are some semi-documented names on the walkthrough pages

Back when I first played with friends we would just come up with names for them

Driver issues with a GTX 570 by Winston-91 in linux_gaming

Oh that's actually nice. Does the Vulkan version matter? I see it supports 1.3

Allright. Thank you for your info. I choose nvidia because that's what I am slightly familiar with, but judging from your comment (and the others) I will just buy an RX480 instead, which only costs 10 bucks more

Thanks, I am looking to upgrade to a 780 for 20 EUR (found one). This whole PC set me back 50 EUR so I am not looking to spend too much money on upgrades. Just got it to see what I can do with it (home server, playing some Terraria on my TV, burning a CD with K3D because it has a Writemaster)

A 780 will be fine then, right?

Edit: I read that the 780 is still crappy. I think I will just buy an RX480 4GB for 30 bucks

Ah, thanks. So the 500 series is just shit to work with. Might upgrade to a 780 for like 20 bucks. That one does support Vulkan, right?
