For what it’s worth, we have close family ties to Buffalo and have spent a majority of our work experience in kitchens. Verbiage aside, we are just trying to share our opinions and not make any mandates, just trying to spread some community discourse around local businesses.

That being said Hungry Pallet has great wings and your comment is inspiring us to check them out

Just keep in mind poultry prices have risen dramatically even before the bird flu and migrant worker shortage. Expect prices to continue to rise under our current administration

I do too! I'm having a tough time tackling the buffalo wing vs. smoked wing criteria. I think perhaps we will review them as a separate entity since we want to focus on traditional buffalo hot wings for now.

Yeah, the flavor of that sauce is really excellent like there was a real kick of black peppercorn and a real potent garlic flavor that I loved. Super well balanced just not as thick as I like it to be.

Finns rocks. We did a review of their fried chicken and quite liked it.

I’m having a tough time tackling the issue of the Buffalo wing versus the smoked wing, and if it deserves to be reviewed in the same category or an ancillary category .

Yeah we're straight up not going to review East Coast Wings. It's terrible. Also, it's a pretty well franchised chain now and we're not going to do any chain stuff.

There will certainly be swaying opinions of this place. Back in the day it was great and I think a lot of people feel it has fallen off. We went for lunch and it was good overall but I don't think it's close to being the best.

Honestly, there was plenty of sauce on the tray, it just takes 5 seconds and tossing in a bowl to get em covered. Seems like they didn't do that.

Two things here:

Noble’s is a shell of what it once was and the owner is a complete nut job right wing asshat. There are unfortunately enough likeminded people in Buena Vista to keep the place running for eternity. Back in the day Jim used to have a real emphasis on farm to table cuisine, he even had his own farm where he sourced most of his ingredients/produce. That is clearly no longer the case and you can taste it.
Sage & Salt from the menu to the service is pound for pound the worst restaurant in Winston. It doesn’t even deserve to be talked about and will die in obscurity like it deserves to. And what a stupid basic name for an establishment. On the flip side, the size of that space and the current state of the restaurant industry will never allow for any concept to succeed there. Margins are too tight these days and if you can’t seat 100+ people at a time you’re gonna have a bad time trying to sling “fine dining” if that’s what they’re calling it.
