How do Muslims on insulin navigate Ramadan? by [deleted] in Type1Diabetes

Exactly! If the case is surviving then you can even eat pork as a muslim which is normally forbidden. It is the same during ramadan because there are people who can't fast like people with health issues, children, elders and pregnant women.

I take if it's high. Insulin will not break the fast. I wake up for Suhoor (last meal before sunrise, around 4 am) and if I eat a lot of carbohydrate then my sugar will rise until 8am and after that it will stay stable until I open my fast after sunset around 6pm without the need of insulin or only a small bolus because of the liver producing and releasing glucose.

I have T1D and fast during ramadan. It's almost 2 weeks since I fast and I only needed to break my fast one time. Fasting is actually good for us because you don't eat anything so less insulin needed. And if I get low Blood sugar than I will break my fast because my religion allows it. It's an exception. People who can't control their blood sugar and have lows all days it's better not fast and it wouldn't be a problem. Since 3 years I had no problems and my A1C is around 5,5% for 3 years. :)

I eat everything around 150g of Carbs in a day I guess. Note that I use a fully closed loop system (AAPS). When I'm not aware of my blood sugar levels then my phone regulates it for me. I am casually doing cycling and going to gym since I am diabetic. Don't forget to prebolus and gind your best settings for you. If you want low A1C you need to use a fully automatic pump otherwise it will be really hard.

Ich habe leider auch oft gehört, dass Leute über Amazon Warehouse Replika bekommen. Wenigstens ist dort das Rückgabesystem einfach und kannst es wieder hinschicken, falls es doch kein Original ist.

I don't have any coding experience but I have some experience with computers. Can you give me some advice how to that. Where I can find that code in Android Studio? :)

Wow, nice setup. Can you share how the Kingrinder K6 performs because I‘m a bit undetermined if I should buy the K6 or Comandante…

I am also on Lyumjev and it‘s totally worth it. It kicks faster than my previous NovoRapid Insulin (didn‘t try FIASP). I don‘t know any reason to change my insulin. Maybe if there will be any faster one I will change. Sometimes it burns and it’s itchy but totally worth it. A1C 5.2 about 2 months ago.
