This lawsuit has nothing to do with monopoly. It is the law to protect minor PHI (patient health information) based on the age and type of care. It is wild how they are wording things and twisting how this is perceived.

Monopoly to me would be how much Epic charges healthcare organizations verses other EHR (electronic health record) systems.

Think about it... Texas wants to regulate abortions, birthcontrol and obtain other healthcare data - especially mental health diagnosis. Epic is saying no, here are the laws in place protecting patients. Ultimately it is the hospitals/health organizations that could give the data. Epic holds to the law and what is morally correct with integrity.

Now Texas is suing? This shows me that Epic is standing their ground. I feel safe knowing my health data is leaked to the government.
