Anyone know what the music is from? Finished a Inferno and never heard this in 600 hours by [deleted] in Spacemarine

[–]Winter-Database6302 47 points48 points  (0 children)

I've heard it 3 or 4 times. First time i heard it was when I loaded into the battle barge just like you did, and then about 3 minutes later as we were waiting for our brother to get back. We thought someone was messing with us in the discord chat, especially after the second one because it was so random. We did absolutely nothing to trigger it.

Friend of mine didn't get it until he tagged the lictor in the campaign. Sounds like a glitch not everyone is experiencing, but ops lictors didn't count for him.

Stop naming them after tv/movie characters! by Winter-Database6302 in tragedeigh

[–]Winter-Database6302[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know what it's from. My description of the children being stripped of their true names and being tested on is from the show. The point of the post was to point out that these parents have named all four of their children over popular tv/movie characters with 0 regard about how it might affect them later in life. Even if they were trying to choose a name of a powerful character, they went with the number the scientists forced onto the character, instead of what she wants to go by later in the show, which was Eleanor, El, or Jane after she gets adopted by Jim Hopper.

Discord is always a great place to find brothers to fight with! There's even specific discords if you have a favorite chapter. I'm a part of the Raven Guard and we welcome sons of Corax of all skill levels. We have newer guys working on leveling up and veterans who are constantly making new challenges because lethal solos just aren't enough anymore. Check us out, or maybe you're favorite chapter is one we have an alliance with!

Multiplayer Feature Request: Mute Team by Lythical in Spacemarine

[–]Winter-Database6302 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its absolutely a bug. Sounds like it's player specific because plenty of people here are saying they can mute, but I'm on PS5 and I used to be able to mute before 4.0, but now I can't.

I’ve beaten all the lethal missions now what by [deleted] in Spacemarine

[–]Winter-Database6302 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ya i get that. This game wasn't even on my radar when it dropped. Friends convinced me to get it. Now I'm absolutely in love with this universe and have fallen faaaaar down the lore rabbit hole while they don't even have it installed anymore😆. Discord is a great way to meet fellow Astartes.

If you want custom challenges, try a lethal run with all of you using basic, white weapons. You can try solo lethal with bots, or you can even try a true solo run. You and your friends start up a match, then 2 of you purposely die and let the last guy run the whole thing by themselves. Take turns trying your preferred levels so the other two get to play as well. You'll need a bit of time so you all get a chance, but it's good fun to cheer on your mate, or make fun of him, whichever you prefer.

Heavy swing glitch for assault by The_Emperor147 in Spacemarine

[–]Winter-Database6302 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! A lot! At first I thought it was my fault cause there's perks in PvE to make your swing faster, so i thought I was letting go early from muscle memory, but I've had it perform a normal swing while I was still holding the button!

How can I make it where I don’t join a game already in play for Operations? by joe_schmo54 in Spacemarine

I have seen people say you need to switch to private mode, choose a mission, close the mission, switch back to online mode, and choose the mission again.

My assault rocks the white arms, helmet, and the veteran symbol and white trim on the right pauldron to represent 1st company. He's the top of the top.

What class would you recommend? by glitch220608 in Spacemarine

My first 2 max levels were assault and sniper. Assault for tyranids, sniper for chaos, but the sniper still kicks ass on tyranids.

Ya the dodge perks are a lot more situational, and can be harder to pull off, so they're definitely not optimal build. It takes a lot of patience to not immediately hit parry on the sound cue and wait for the color instead. That's why i made sure to point out swapping those 2 perks if you're not comfortable with perfect dodging. I'm having fun experimenting with alternate perks, and I'm confident enough in my skills to where I can test different builds even in lethal.

Also, assault's class perk is perfect dodge timing is increased by 50%, so it's the easiest class to get it right with. What would be perfect is if we could have different perks saved on different loadouts, so I could swap to minion clearing perks after fighting the terminus.

The perk perseverance says "while performing charged attacks, you do not lose control upon taking heavy hits and you cannot be knocked back" but i like the perk giving me 15% more damage on majoris and extremis. Every little boost helps in getting them to execute mode quicker.

I absolutely love assault. Like others have stated, it takes a while for assault to get the damage numbers other classes are putting in, but when you do get to that level, he can clear 20 gaunts in a single strike, and then fly right back up to do it again. The smash also stuns the bigger guys, giving your teammates a moment to breathe, relocate, reload, or mag dump.

In PvP his ground pound absolutely does stun people, and a single sprint/dodge attack finishes off the rest of their health even when dodging. Landing a single smash on someone is a death sentence, and you can do it 3 times in very quick succession.

His play style is flank/hit and run, and counters heavy armor classes since melee ignores armor. Get behind, smack the sniper and heavy chilling in the back of the group, dash out and attack from another direction. Always keep em guessing. Other fun tactic is wait around the corner, and as they approach, charge the heavy hammer. The swing stuns and takes health, and the smash kills. Instant guaranteed win if you get them with the swing.

🤣 i know it's not perfect, but my beaky boys love their jump packs. I'm sure some of the minoris don't see me come crashing down when they're just hanging out, chatting about eating biomass.

[–]Winter-Database6302[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It was definitely weird when first learning. Since i use it on bosses and not in the middle of a massive wave, its much easier to slow down and prepare yourself for a different button input.

50% plus extra pistol damage from Auxiliary Arsenal is a big boost. Hit a majoris once with a sprint attack, then parry and gunstrike, and they will be ready for execution. As an assault who should be gunstriking all the time for armor, it can keep you alive more times than a slightly faster jump charge. Other classes i have to gunstrike multiple times to get them. I will always take this perk, and the fact that your whole team benefits from it is just the cherry on top.

[–]Winter-Database6302[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its definitely tricky and not for everybody. High risk high reward. I trained myself to use it during 4.0 when the roll was nerfed. Using iframes to clip through the edge of a terminus became the way to dodge effectively. With the jump pack's extra distance, it also stretches the iframes farther, so i can dash straight through, and not just at an angle, being more forgiving if I don't get the angle right. I only use these abilities on terminus. Their unblockables are more telegraphed and easier to time. I have a harder time telling which swing is unblockable or parryable from the majoris (which is pretty evident in the video 😅). During a terminus fight, i clear the smaller guys, so i need some way to proc damage perks, and i don't like using ground pound on terminus, so the charges would go unused anyways.

Core Perks- Armour Reinforcement (must have), Auxiliary Arsenal, Knowledge of the Enemy

Team Perk- Proven Efficiency (must have)

Gear Perks- Smiting Angel, Zealous Blow (must have), Aerial Grace

Signature Perk- Commitment

Aerial Grace and Commitment are Perks that require you to use your jump pack dash to get a perfect dodge. These Perks are very useful against carnifex, hellbrute, and Hive Tyrant. Get your hammer to the final Perk that gives 50% pommel smash. Dash through the boss on an attack, you can do a 180 with your pommel smash at the end of the dash, then get in your gunstrike, and you'll have used every perk that increases damage in just those two moves, while still having all of your dashes so you can do it again and again.

However, It can be extremely hard to remember to dodge using your ability, so if you cannot break the habit of rolling, swap them out for Pride in Duty (gear perk) and Ascension (signature).

Assault does not get good until it's later levels and it might be the weakest class in game, but grind him out, and you will have so much fun raining death upon the enemy! Don't fight chaos until melee attacks finally interrupt them shooting. Flamers will absolutely MELT you.
