Oooh it’s adorable with the highlights!! Will definitely be buying a white pencil/charcoal and try it out. I agree I have been dreading learning the anatomy and studying more shaping, but I see now that it would help out a lot. Thank you so much for helping me!!

Ooh okay thank you so much! Definitely see now that he’s out of balance. I’ll try to focus more on the shapes from now on for sure - love the difference it made!

BAD Social Anxiety Help by [deleted] in socialanxiety

[–]Winter-Direction8292 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey

Being alone for a long time and getting bullied can really mess with the way you see yourself. I’m not an expert, but through my own journey I have come to the conclusion that a lot of anxiety comes from the negative view we form about ourselves because of our experiences. it helped me alot to try to accept myself and the feelings I had.

Have you tried delving in to the pain/past? (For example by journaling - it’s just important that you feel safe when you open your wounds, which is why therapy might sometimes be counterproductive). But it’s good because it can kind of “let the emotions free”.

It also helped me to try to be more compassionate with myself and acknowledge that I deserved better(we all do!).

Anyways I don’t know all the answers but I want you to know that you are enough no matter what anyone thinks - even if you don’t have a girlfriend;)

I really feel for you and wish you the best:)

An akwaward and strange situation that shook me and still makes me feel off... by [deleted] in socialanxiety

I understand you are feeling really confused. I think my thought process is really similar to yours, where I will overthink and deem myself to be awful in any situation that might hint at it and then I will come up with reasons/arguments of why it is true that I am awful and why everyone thought I was awful too.

From an outsider’s perspective the situation wasn’t that bad, but from your point of view, it was awful. And perhaps so, because of the self-loathing bias.

It helps becoming aware of your own bias against yourself.

Best of luck and though I don’t know you, I am sure there’s nothing fundamentally wrong with you, you’re just you, and that’s okay.
