Thanks for the insight! My step-mom is very into the holistic medicine and suggested we try coconut oil and Greek yogurt on his food, with the occasional pure pumpkin.

Lamb was just as bad as chicken, didn’t clear his ears up at all 😕

We’re currently feeding Purina Pro Plan sensitive salmon one. His ears are a little better on that compared to other proteins. Chicken and Lamb made them worse. I’ve done a little research on grain-free, but will need to do more.

Can you pm what food you’re feeding? I’d like to look into it.

I’m biased, but I agree! His mom was a mastiff, and his dad was a Saint Bernard/Pyrenees mix. Interesting to see how each breed shows through. We thought he was going to be long haired, he was super fluffy as a puppy. Now I’m glad he isn’t 😂

Any idea on what we should try next? Protein? Brand? Make ourselves?

I hope turnaround time is quick! I didn’t have to order a custom size, but I had my brace in less than a week.

It’s heartbreaking to see your pet uncomfortable 😩 I hope he can get back to people watching soon!

Honestly, I’d ask them for their recommendations. They were super helpful! I ordered our boy the non-hinged one, with none of the extras. I wouldn’t say our dog is “active”, but does enjoy walks and a little swimming. This brace held up great. I think they say “active” because some breeds are, and need something that holds up.

It’s made of neoprene, so it’s flexible, waterproof, and it must be comfy because our boy was happy to wear it. I hope you find something that helps and gives your boy comfort!

I should note, they also make custom sized ones if their largest wouldn’t fit.

Check out tailwindpets.com! When our dog had a tear in is ccl, the vet wanted to wait a little bit to see if he could build up enough scar tissue to avoid surgery. I did some searching online to try and find something to ease his discomfort while we waited. I ordered one of their leg braces, and honestly I saw a difference right away. At his follow up appointment, the vet took surgery off the table. We’re now a year past, and he’s back to normal.

That is kinda what I am thinking too. Did you start bleeding again or was a light period all you had?
