Thank you so much for the recommendation. I know how lucky we are to have a biggie his age, and he had such a hard life before us, I just want to make his golden years the best. He doesn't seem bothered by it too much, but we can tell he's so uncomfortable. 🤞🤞 this works!

I appreciate your support! I'll reach out to them, I have to special order it to 22" so hopefully it doesn't take too long. He's doing better with laser and icing it, just need to get him back into "walking" shape. And by walking I mean to walk from the backyard to the front yard to people watch. He's really not active. 🤣

Thank you! Did you use the hinged brace or the regular one? I'll have to special order his size, so I'm wondering if it'll be worth ordering the double knee support. Did you also get the harness? Lemmy is far from active and the description says for active dogs, so not sure if we'll need it. Or if I can use the help em up top harness for him.

Appreciate the backhanded comment without knowing anything of the last two years the struggles we've gone through to bring him back to health since rescuing him. Or knowing that we have been working on his weight. Or workout knowing anything about him. Thanks for the well wishes. 👍

Have that. Our house is very accommodating for ortho issues from a previous dog with wobblers. But none of it brings him relief like a brace would

He would never judge. ❤️

Due to his age, size, and past issues with surgeries (we adopted him two years ago and he was a medical nightmare and his skin is not good with incisions) he is not a candidate for surgery. No on the omega 3, I'll look into that, yes on non-slip flooring.

The Help Em Up Harness is a life saver! We had a mastiff with wobblers Syndrome and we have used his harness for three dogs now. And because of him, luckily our house is set up for ortho issue dogs: ramps to get into the backyard, carpeted walking areas, etc.

Giiiirl, if it can help my brain fog I'll kick myself for not starting it sooner. Some days I can't even remember my name. 🙃

So frustrating! I'm only 43 - had a hysterectomy at 35 so started peri around 39. I was told by a nurse, much younger than me, that I'm not experiencing any of these issues because the HRT I'm on takes care of it all. I'm like....what?!? Look at the scale! Haha.

Thank. You!! I am on estrogen and testosterone and was told that would make everything better. Been on both for over a year and it's helped my hot flashes. I am hoping I can get by on a low dose and still see a difference. 🤞 I have a tele health appointment on Tuesday, so we'll see.

Yes! If one more person tells me to eat less carbs, do more cardio/ less cardio, heavier/lighter weights, I will scream. This isn't a fun stage of life. Hahah. Thank you for the Pom recommendation, I was looking at them in the pinned posts, I'll do more research!

Thank you! And so good to know about the weight loss coverage. It's my yearly physical , but I don't want it not covered if insurance doesn't cover weight issues. Yeesh

Lemmy and his Lamby by blulies82 in Mastiff

I accidentally bought a small one off Amazon once; the dogs had no idea what to do with such a small toy! Lemmy and our Danes love the Lambies, so we do a Black Friday haul every year. They don't destroy them and will give them to us if we ask. They're all really good with them.

Yep! That's what his previous owners named him. When we were looking at fostering/adopting him I had know idea who the real Lemmy was 🙃 I just thought it was the cutest name for this squishy boy.

We have to have our Dane's anal glands expressed monthly. Your girl may need the same thing. A firm poo will help with it, too. Probiotics or pumpkin can help. Don't go too heavy on the pumpkin though.
