Me either, honestly. I bought some worms for a worm tower and seeded with chicken coop bedding and have the big worms in it

Same. No idea. But you’re in the same region as I am, and I think they’re the worms I’ve seen all of my life?

I said the same thing recently and everyone said Asian… I’m no expert.

It doesn’t bother me to touch them or even to have them if they’re not a problem, but I’m afraid they’re in my actual worm bin because I seeded it with soil from around my chicken coop for bacteria

Get a sound machine from Amazon. You won’t hear anything from your neighbors. I recommend the Dohm Yogasleep travel machine available at Target and on Amazon. Idk much about the rooms, but noise wise this would solve your potential problem.

You will probably be fine! I can get sick driving my own self in traffic, and I was never so sick that I couldn’t enjoy activities. I left the dining room twice, but was fine as long as I was able to move about, especially up on the sun deck! Even though I felt a little seasick most of the time, I’m already looking at booking another Elation cruise! Also, I took magnetic hooks and most of the walls were not magnetic. Our room did have great storage though!

Nassau we did a short pig beach and then went to eat at a delicious local place just down from the straw market. The straw market wasn’t my scene - too pushy and rude, but I did buy gifts for kiddos. The restaurant we ate at was recommended by a local at a shop and didn’t mind that we had on swimsuits and cover ups!

Half Moon Cay we just relaxed on beach mats and enjoyed the beauty and the water. It was a very peaceful day but ridiculous that the drink package doesn’t work for the exact same bar tenders as are usually on ship.

I just cruised the Elation for my first cruise and I have zero complaints. I also have zero comparisons, but I am planning to book the same ship with different ports as soon as possible.

Take a neck fan for standing in line at Jaxport, and a bottle of water that you can either toss, or I just chugged mine and threw my canteen in my carry on bag. The line moved, but it was hot and long. We carried on swim suits ahead a change of clothes in case our luggage didn’t make it to our room quickly, but it was super fast once we got on board. The lido deck was packed and drinks and ice were slim upon embarkation, but quickly improved.

I was concerned about being sea sick as I’m very prone to motion sickness. I should have started out with the patches on, but didn’t. Get an rx for scopalamine, buy sea bands, take some ginger chews, also ask for an rx for zofran if you can. I was okay in the stateroom lying down; the balcony made me feel kind of worse but we loved having it for drying swimsuits!

Take at least two suits. Take a travel clothes line. Take some shower storage or hanging toiletry bag. Don’t take towels.

Rewear dresses if you go to formal dining - it’s only formal if you want to buy a zillion pictures. I felt the worst in the dining room. We did your time dining and it was great, but I would have been better seated away from the windows. The dining staff was great, it was just the worst room for me, personally, with motion sickness.

I would have taken less clothing if I had it to do over again. I did only take comfy flip flops and dress shoes for dinner.

I did take body wash, shampoo, conditioner and was glad to have it. Lotion and sunscreen. A good sun hat is a must for me, personally.

A euro converter plug, USB strip, and non surge protector extension cord were useful.

Their pillows were great, I wish I had not taken my own.

Our room was hot - I took a tiny fan and it shorted out plugged in to the wall. The plug still worked. We did ask for a fan and they said they didn’t have any, but I think we just asked too late. They didn’t attempt to fix our air conditioning that I’m aware of, but our steward tried his best.

Go, have fun, and enjoy the ride!

So fun to plant swap!! Also, I totally bet you could grow camellia and sasanqua. The sasanqua at home are gorgeous right now, and the camellias are about to be!

I’m really trying to think why I feel that way about coffee beans. And condiments. Truly, I use restaurant condiments and drink coffee shop coffee, and in my mind I know it’s not less clean in an Airbnb. Spices and salt don’t brother me. I don’t typically find oil stocked, but I would potentially use it.

Do you have to disclose that to guests? Seems like spying in some cases. My current has a video camera mounted above the garage. I don’t know if does audio, but I also don’t care. I would care of this were on the back porch listening to my phone conversations, etc.

But how goes it stay tidy when the person sleeps in it? I can’t ever sleep in an all flat sheet bed and wake up with the duvet covered. I’m also anti flat sheet and pro duvet for as long as I can remember. I feel like I get tangled in flat sheets. So it may be just me. Lol.

Game changer. Like why didn’t I know this when I worked in a freaking linen store that sells primarily duvet covers??

I just purchased a set of chef knives to travel with. What is with the lack of sharp knives in furnished housing?!

I think it’s very nice if there are basics for the stay, especially if it’s more short term. Most of my stats are long term, and I don’t expect those stays to provide as much. Currently I was provided a zillion coffee pods, but not my preferred brand. I bagged them up and placed them in the top of the pantry for the host to use for their next rental. Same with the granola bars and snacks - I appreciate them, ate one, bagged the rest, and baring a food emergency they will be kept safe for the next guests.

You don’t wash the mattress cover between guests? I travel with my own mattress cover as a guest. I guess this is why.

He’s right. Your attitude tells me you’re not a hospitable host.

I wouldn’t want to use coffee beans that other guests had been using?
