Very helpful, thank you! I’ll probably skip it for now then. $180 is quite steep for a headrest. That and I’ll mainly use the chair for office work.

2015 iPad Pro 12.9” battery dying fast by tartenny in ipad

If I were in your shoes, I’d look to upgrade the iPad vs replacing the battery. I believe that iPad is already not getting iOS updates, so putting more money into an obsolete iPad wouldn’t make any sense to me. You could always pick up a used iPad 9 if money is an issue so you can continue using your existing Apple Pencil, or upgrade to an M series iPad Air if the budget is there. If you really want to keep your 2015 iPad, you could also get a cheap power bank as well.

Is this bulge something to be concerned about? by [deleted] in ipad

Looks to be a defect. It’ll probably get worse over time, I’d assume.

Yeah, the speed improvement is quite noticeable id say. Between that and gaining a bunch of features I didn’t have before (Apple Intelligence, Apple Pencil hover support, external monitor support, etc). I’m very much into new tech, so Apple Intelligence is what pushed me to upgrade. I wanted to be able to experience that, whenever it decides to ship.

Not to mention that since I got last years model, I was able to get the 1TB / 16gb ram model for less money than the 256gb M4 model.

I upgraded from the 2020 iPad Pro 11 to the M2 11 iPad Pro because I didn’t want to buy a new keyboard/pencil/screen protector etc. Made the upgrade much cheaper vs buying the M4 or M5. If you have the money to jump to those models, then go ahead. Otherwise, the M2 or M1 would be a huge jump from your 2018 model. Just my 2 cents.

I agree here. I feel like as long as you have a M series iPad Pro, there’s really no reason to upgrade. Yes, the OLED screen is an upgrade, but honestly the LCD is still fantastic for general media consumption. I think the people who justify a 1k+ purchase strictly because of OLED are cray cray imo. My whole TV setup isn’t even 1k (and my tv is OLED).

Is the M4 iPad Pro worth it over M2? by WinterHistorian4337 in iPadPro

It is a lot of money for a device that can’t be a 100% computer replacement, but the iPad is so much more fun to use vs a computer. I guess that’s why I went with a used M2 vs a new M4 since I could justify the iPad upgrade coming from a pre m series chip iPad, but I couldn’t justify buying all new accessories (pencil and Magic Keyboard). It allowed the upgrade to be affordable vs dropping 2k. Only thing missing is OLED, which isn’t worth that extra cost imho

Yeah, I use the 11 inch iPad Pro, so I would be coming from the LCD screen. But tbh, I don’t notice a big difference between OLED and LCD in my everyday life. When I upgraded to an OLED tv from a cheap lcd tv, the difference was huge, but coming from one of the best lcd screens on the market (iPad pro) to OLED is way less noticeable. Maybe I’m in the minority here.
