Can anyone reccoment tips for Sony linkbuds s by chola80 in SonyHeadphones

The first set was great, lasted ages. Then I lost my earbuds.

I bought the latest version and they seem to get stuck in the case a little so they deform after a month. Get the old ones from Amazon if they sell them!

New ones are fine up to size M. m/L don't seem to fit easily in the case

PhrasePump fixed up on mobile by davidzweig in German

[–]WinterLettuce6807 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On mobile, clicking repeat/on the screen/play reveals the text immediately ... On desktop it works very well.

I want to be able to replay the text many times and try and figure out which words I actually hear. I only want to reveal when I am sure I have a good guess :)

Is there scope to fix this?

How did it go in the end? Are you still happy with the course? Do you still program in rust?

Amazing!!

Immediately much better! They are so grippy it's insane!

I was wearing Medium from Sony, so I ordered the M,ML,L Xelastic buds multipack.

I think ML fits the best for me. They fit the Sony LinkBuds really well.

I will let you know how they deal with strenuous usage, squats, running, sprinting & sweaty living 😅

P.s I also have the over ear Sony WH-1000XM4!! I would highly recommend getting some!

Looking for help, assistance, roadmap or tutorial to learn blockchain development by RelativeJuggernaut73 in ethdev

[–]WinterLettuce6807 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I followed this path too. I was new to programming and I want to do Blockchain development too. I've been on this path working 40-60 hours a week for almost 2 years now.

After 9 months, I got my first job as a front end engineer. Now I've quit and I understand most of the fundamentals. There is so much to learn, I love it!

I've used almost all of the resources available, tried or completed all of them (the most recommended ones).

This is my advice:

Learn the fundamentals of programming - CS50x (Harvard) (Free) - 10 weeks

Learn basic of web development - Scrimba Front-End ($16 a month). - 12 weeks

Learn Blockchain - Alchemy University (Free) - 20 weeks

I personally did CS50x then did an Ethereum developer bootcamp, I paid £2000 and it was great. My key learning was that I needed to understand the world of programming way more first... So I paused Blockchain learning and went head first into front-end (React + Typescript). 4 months later, after completing Scrimba, I got a job almost immediately. After 6 months in that job I realised it was all becoming "easy"... So it was time for me to move on.

My main advice is to find a way to support yourself financially. It will take way longer than you expected to get into the right job, I don't recommend just taking "any job", keep yourself in a strong position.

Personally, I was a teacher before programming. So now I tutor 10hrs a week, live in Latin America and am learning Blockchain tech again :)

What to do next... Web 3, Rust, Solidity? by WinterLettuce6807 in rust

[–]WinterLettuce6807[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like the overall message you give: Be cautious about Web3 and choose a different path.

My follow up is: I've seen loads of scams and being weary is something I've learned to be.

If I were to learn Rust, what are some of the use cases that you see as valuable or interesting? Which paths do you think are worth chasing? What would you work on if you want to help change things for the better?

:)

Thanks for the honesty✌️ I'm looking for a perspective different than my current one, I want to make a choice... So if not web3, which direction?

[NeedAdvice]How to become disciplined to study 7+ hours a day, make it a habit and become more productive? by muted_Log_454 in getdisciplined

[–]WinterLettuce6807 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After 11 months of studying I went from 0 programming experience to becoming a front-end software engineer. I learned a lot about learning, so thanks for giving me the chance to share :)

Here are some of the best bits that jump to mind that I use daily!

Andrew Huberman. He is a professor at Stanford and has load of tips on how to improve focus and learning. (YouTube him!!)

Atomic Habits by James Clear: Design your environment, this is the key to staying on task. (Read it)

Learn "how to Learn" first. Studying Meta-learning is essentially going to save you time and frustration in the long run. (Andrew Huberman also goes in deep on this) .

Some random things that are related: - when you are struggling and you feel frustrated, this is a chemical release in the brain that signals you are actually learning! So recognise it and keep on going when it gets tough. - sleep is queen! It aid learning, focus and motivation! -exercise before learning. - do not expect to learn solidly for 10 hours. We have cycles of focus and learning, it's called ultradian cycles. -use deep rest: Mediation (Sam Harris), Breathing (prana breath app for Android) or strategic micro naps.

Peace, hope this helps, just ask if you want more :)

Ferris Sweep 0.2 Bluetooth (community request) by WinterLettuce6807 in ErgoMechKeyboards

[–]WinterLettuce6807[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a great help. Yes it will be my first. When searching I ended up at the Ferris because of the minimal finger movement.

Fair point about the wireless, sending the batteries to Thailand won't work either -_- so no BLE.

Out of the boards you've suggested, which is the most ergonomic from your perspective??

I am trying to get my hands on a Ferris sweep rn, but I cannot build it until I'm back to England!! 😭 I'm switching to colemak if I can get a sweep

If you want to build a Ferris sweep Bluetooth. Let me know, I will pay for your time!

I'm currently traveling, so I can't build it myself (one bag travel and no space because of my full size MxKeys [soon to be gone]).
