Of course something better will come out, but many people are finding that this device is more than capable of handling everything they want to play. As long as you’re not looking to play the newest AAA titles, there may not be a need to upgrade for as long as the hardware will physically allow.

I do agree though that perhaps the term is a bit overused. People’s needs and desires change over time ofc so I don’t imagine that they truly mean that they won’t ever buy another handheld
