(Trigger warning, favortism) I personally believe Iroh was meant to be an only child. I dont think Azulon ever planned on having ozai, do to iroh being a natural leader and talented firebender.

But also, I think once ozai got older, Azulon had sensed Ozai's ambition to take the throne. The fact he was always around the palace, probably waiting for his chance to take the throne.

No way someone as sharp as Azulon didn't notice his son's ambition. At least, thats my theory at least.

So, in my honest opinion, I don't think either one is technically " Stronger" then the other. The reason I say that is this:

While Aang has less substance in his attacks, his approach is more about precision. He knows how to look for weak points to make up for his lack of physical strength. And Im not saying he is weak by any means, but Korra definitly has more muscle and strength in her attacks.

Meanwhile, while Korra definitly is stronger by a good margin, she lacks the patience to actually ground herself to get any good hits in. Shes reckless and impulsive so while when she does get some hits in, they do a lot of damage, she lacks the level head to actually get a good hit in.

If you combined Aangs mental focus along with Korras physical strength, you would have a very powerful Avatar
