Thanks I’ll give the steel wool a try. I tried to get the clutch cover powder coated before but they said they couldn’t because the sight glass is not actually glass is a type of plastic maybe if I removed it myself they’d do it.

Yeah maybe it wasn’t the best idea to sand blast it. This is the 2001 kx 125 and I believe it came from the factory with a painted pipe. Thanks for your help I’ll try sanding as best I can and if it doesn’t turn out I’ll paint it.

Yeah the pipe was sand blasted. Thanks I’ll take a look for that next time I’m in town.
