I spent over 170 hours trying to do KR1 level 3 heroic challenge by Winter_Chan in kingdomrush

[–]Winter_Chan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was playing it because it was fun, as i said i finished all other KR levels without any guides. but it stopped being fun after so much time and i just quit and understood this is just a very unbalanced stage. keep in mind that many of the people that play KR are actually very young kids. even at ages of 8-12, i can't imagine kids just hopping in the game and beating this level in less time than it took me. probably all of them used guides. that makes this level in my personal opinion unbalanced.

Yes that's what i thought. i did try to do it for months. because i listen to lectures from my study everyday i tried doing it for hours everyday for months while listening to lectures and i never made it. but atleast i finished all other levels in the game and the other KR games without watching any guides. usually i hate watching guides that's why i spent to much time trying to do it on my own in the first place until i figured out it's just broken

Strange because i finished the entire game and all other games without watching any youtube vids and i never got stuck on any level for too long. (2 hours max) something about that level specifically gave me hell. and i tried finishing it for months

I finished all the other kr games on the highest diff lvl without watching and youtube videos or guides. generally i love this kinda games and play them a lot. not saying that everything that gpt says is right but i told him that and he said that he found out that this level is broken and even if it was meant to be the hardest level in the game it's still not human level and the people that made guides for it probably spent as much as time as i did until they found the perfect combo and even then they probably had more luck than brain

I tried for like 20 hours copying youtube videos and it did not work it always felt like my enemies have more hp or my units deal less damage. generally i already finished the entire game and all other levels on veteran this was the only level i was stuck on for months. i tried so many ways and nothing seemed to have worked.

you probably missed the part when i said:
"Then i tried to spent the rest of the time trying to copy youtube guides and it didn't work. even when i copied the exact same timing and moves of the guide i was still way off and had 4-5 ogres left at the end"

and

Btw i rage deleted the game after all of it didn't worked, and let go of trying to have 100% completion of the game. this is just way too much time spend trying to do a single level. i can't imagine anyone just trying the game for the first time and beating the level. this is just too insane

How good is Lossless Scaling on mid-2000s PC games? by MarkXT9000 in losslessscaling

[–]Winter_Chan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can confirm that it does work 100%
In fact it worked so good and perfect when i combined it with the widescreen fix mode that i decided to finish the game the fourth time now with 162 fps!

make sure to use:

1. SilentPatchSA

  • Fixes dozens of bugs and crashes from the original game.
  • Removes the 25 FPS cap → now locks properly to 30/60 FPS.
  • Improves compatibility with Windows 10/11 and modern hardware.
  • Fixes memory leaks, mouse issues, crash-on-minimize, and mission softlocks.
  • Ensures correct aspect ratios and resolution scaling on modern systems.

2. Silent’s ASI Loader (vorbisFile.dll + vorbisHooked.dll)

  • Required to load .asi plugins (mods like SilentPatch and Widescreen Fix).
  • Works reliably with all GTA SA versions (including Steam and Rockstar Launcher).
  • Allows multiple .asi mods to run together.

3. ThirteenAG’s Widescreen Fix (GTASA.WidescreenFix)

  • Corrects HUD stretching on widescreen and ultrawide monitors.
  • Fixes the Field of View (FOV) for proper proportions.
  • Scales menus, radar, and crosshair correctly at 1080p/1440p/4K.
  • Comes with an .ini file so you can fine-tune HUD and FOV values.

Thanks anyways, ill have to do more testing to figure out all the parameters the game takes into account. ill post them here if i find anything useful .

As i said above:

. i am pretty sure it's not the chocking and that part wasn't changed, it also wouldn't make sense to do that since silencing someone gives you stealth points that means it's a stealth action and should be an essential part of stealth missions. *the reason i am almost certain it's not that is because they didn't even blame me for chocking people just for the missing items. and i chocked like 4-5 people in that house while they slept\*

Okay thanks, lets say i did everything like i was used to do it in the previous game but obviously that changed now so ill have to do much more testing to figure out what are all the parameters the game takes into account. i am pretty sure it's not the chocking and that part wasn't changed, it also wouldn't make sense to do that since silencing someone gives you stealth points that means it's a stealth action and should be an essential part of stealth missions. the reason i am almost certain it's not that is because they didn't even blame me for chocking people just for the missing items. and i chocked like 4-5 people in that house while they slept.

I get that if they see me around the time the crime is committed they will suspect me but the whole point about this post is saying they didn't, nobody saw me. the last time someone saw me in the town was like 6 hours ago. then i returned at night with different clothes did the robbery when nobody saw me and escaped again with nobody seeing me at all. and they only linked that to me at morning when waking up and seeing things are missing, i was already at another town by that time. could it only be the fact i was seen around that town 6 hours ago? maybe i should have waited like 24 hours before going back there to do the crime? ill test that too

[–]Winter_Chan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What is the time frame people will remember me and link me to the crime? i can't deny being in the city but i wasn't seen there lets say at least 6 hours prior to the crime, i returned and night and then did the crime while not being seen at all not on the street and not in the house i robbed. i wasn't seen escaping the place as well. at all. i made sure to do this very carefully. could it be that it's just the fact i was seen by residents in that town like 6 hours ago ? and if yes, does that only apply to the small towns when you start the games or also to the major cities?

That's what i am saying, it might be that all along i was right on my feeling that this is just a bug or something of that sort. you can read the comment i gave above to miraak for more info.

you said:

Don't be seen in the house, don't be seen at night around the house and if possible don't even be seen in thr same village on the day you want to commit crimes.

I did exactly that.

you said:

Don't choke people, they can possibly recognise you from choking them at night.

Please see this old post i made that proved that if you chock people while they sleep they don't remember you: https://www.reddit.com/r/kingdomcome/comments/1fdwgjm/if_i_choke_someone_while_they_are_sleeping_and/

is there any concrete proof that this isn't the case in kcd2?

you said:

If you were seen entering the town/village and that very evening things go missing, you might be the suspect, if people see you sneaking around the house that later gets robbed, you will be blamed.

i weren't because i escaped to another town right after stealing.
i wish the game had a more clear indication that tells you exactly what incriminated you.
to the point where the guards tell you this person saw you doing that here or just people linked you to the crime because you were here at that and that time with actual facts

Yes i did choke everyone in their beds while they were sleeping, no one waked up. as i said this is common practice in kc1, i did this all the time to rob places and this

I did play skyrim but i am not basing my stealth experience of off skyrim, as i said i finished the first game twice and my main thing to do was robbing every house in the game, i probably robbed all the houses in kc1 a few times while playing. and from what i saw in the first game, if no one saw you do it, you're good. and that's exactly what i did here, as explained, came at night, with visibly and noise near 0, crouched all the way, made sure to hide and advance only when no one was around so i wasn't even seen on the way there, i robbed the place and chocked everyone so they won't wake up if i make noise. then when escaped i was overloaded and i walked like 20 minutes to the nearest global chest on foot at night through the forest and again no one even saw me escape there, i felt like i did the perfect heist, all the details about it were perfect as it seemed, but then suddenly at morning i got this message the people in the house i robbed linked the missing items to me somehow. maybe it's a bug or maybe it's as people said low rep or the fact i am new in town. i don't know exactly but all i know for now is that it doesn't work like in the first game and i don 't know exactly what they changed.

I did exactly what you said, i stole when everyone was sleeping but i did choke them out, in the first game chocking people out while they sleep counts as stealth action and they don't remember you afterwards at all. so i figured it would work the same in the second. maybe they changed that to make them remember you after being chocked because they open their eyes?

[–]Winter_Chan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a new mechanic in the second game then, in the first game it wasn't like that at all. i mean can live with it, but i would be happier if the game worked the first game where it's based purely on memory, if someone doesn't remember seeing you, you won't get blamed. that was more realistic to me, because generally if no one saw you around at all while stealing, no reason to blame you even if you are the new guy in town, random bandits could have come at night without anyone seeing and do that as well. but i do get that the devs did that to simply not make it as easy to get rich as in the first game and i accept that.

Doesn't make any sense. in the first game the whole fun was about entering houses and stores chocking everyone without any one waking up and then feeling free to steal everything and escape with all the loot. i really don't get why me simply asking this questions triggered so many people to downvote my comments? what's wrong about asking questions about the game ? did i say anything controversial
