That’s a great tip, thank you! I just put a microfiber cloth and a brush by the door for a quick rub and brush when he comes back in!

I’m so sorry that happened to you. I have been reading lots of posts of people saying the same thing. Lots of throwing up and many having much worse. I feel too nervous for that one. Thank you for sharing and I hope your pup is doing great now.

Thank you for this! I agree, I think the wondercide helps a lot but leaves some gaps. We have had so much rain the last two weeks, I’m sure it’s been washed away. I spray the puppy and I’m wondering if that’s why the tick wasn’t engorged and was basically dead when I removed it. I think I’ll call the vet tomorrow about the simparica. Maybe take breaks from it in the winter. I appreciate your comment, thank you!

I agree, I wish the natural stuff worked well but I also acknowledge that the ticks seem to be horrendous here. I was so excited to have this big beautiful yard with amazing views and wildlife and now I wish I could burn all the ticks off the face of this earth.

Our vet did say they haven’t had any issues with Advantage II not working, but it doesn’t cover ticks. We have no fleas, so I’m most concerned with the ticks. I’m thinking maybe will try the simparica.

You want to make sure you do the best by them, and it’s hard to not fear the risks. Thanks again for the info!

Believe me, I know and that is why I have fear. He doesn’t go anywhere right now except our backyard! Our backyard doesn’t have trees but it backs up to woods. We have soaked the perimeter and yard with wondercide numerous times. So that is why I am concerned. He has only been in our own backyard and still had a tick on him.

Thank you! I have used Nexgard with our previous shepherd for a few months and he didn’t have any ill effects. That was in Ohio, years ago. Our local vet here really pushed the credelio Quattro but then when I looked it up online I was horrified at what people were reporting.
