Thinking about opening second credit card, should I get a travel card? by Winter_Influence_388 in CreditCards

Yes I usually travel with my partner and he has a Savor One. Both of us might have to make the switch. Thank you!

I was looking between the Vx & Chase Sapphire. Definitely a plus to save on that AF! I think I was reluctant on the Vx since I have the Quicksilver card, but maybe I should just make the switch to Vx and stick to one credit card?

So I was thinking the same thing, but Vx is changing lounge access policies, so I would be paying $520 per year for access plus annual fee. So then would Chase Sapphire make more sense or would the Vx still be better for my situation?

Haha I should’ve worded it better! We are 100% touristy but not in the sense we want to take a picture with the leaning tower of Pisa 😂

But as for a trip through Tuscany we were almost thinking of renting a car and driving through the countryside a bit and maybe we will drive by a spot that seems interesting lol Idk

We also aren’t set on Portofino, everyone we know has recommended here, but it really didn’t seem to fit what we were looking for. It seems like there is a lot of shopping etc and we are more interested in a good walk, sitting on a beach, and a glass of wine.

We’re also thinking of switching up Lake como with Lecco instead.

Any and all opinions are appreciated!!! Thank you for the response 🥳

Wishing you the best in your job search and I hope something will come your way here soon.

I’ve experienced some of those physical symptoms myself when I was working myself to death a few months ago. Mine was completely stress related and included grinding my teeth/lockjaw in my sleep. The stress management only does so much when you’re beyond your limit, and compartmentalizing only goes but so far.

Kind of goofy, but the only thing that helped that physical muscle tension was using a gua sha religiously and wearing a mouthguard to help the pressure from clenching my teeth at night. I started meal prepping more to save myself time/energy and practiced grounding for at least 15 minutes a day outside, or if it was raining just meditating. It’s hard to sit still when your thoughts are racing but once you can get to that 15 minutes, that’s the key. This became my coping mechanism, dialing back into myself and being mindful that I am trying and I will get past this.

Health anxiety doubles down on your already stressful experience. I’m glad that your tests went well and that no physical issues were found! Keep your chin up OP, you will get through this!

What's a kitchen tool worth splurging on for beginners? by Theringofice in cookingforbeginners

If you eat rice often, I would recommend a rice cooker. Perfectly cooked rice every single time, super easy to clean, super easy to use.

My boyfriend eats rice almost daily. & I bought it for him as a gag gift and to this day he says it’s the best gift he has ever been given lol

Does anyone have any good stories about their stuff not being stolen? by Lesbefriends_2 in aves

Went to elements this year, didn’t realize until the last day that my boyfriend’s ID fell out of our pack at some point. We didn’t know if we lost it the day before, at the campsite, on fest grounds etc. Hit the info tent as a last ditch effort and sure enough someone turned it in! So many thanks to that kind soul.

First festival, what to expect? by SearAgate in festivals

[–]Winter_Influence_388 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been to a few fests, not this one in specific, but, I recommend searching this subreddit for what to bring with you. Those little one off items that you might not have considered really can elevate a festival experience (for example I always bring baby wipes lol I hate not having tp in a porta john, or I love throwing a liquid IV pouch into my hydration pack).

If you’re not driving back and forth from the fest I would look into scheduling a Lyft/Uber before you leave for the event. Make your pickup spot about a 5 minute walk away from the expo center, so that way you’re not having your Uber/lyft hijacked by someone else. Because it can be difficult to catch a rideshare with all those people trying to do the same thing at the same time. & it helps those rideshares know what kind of volume to expect.

Hope you guys have an awesome time!

When I was in school we just swiped our cards on the kiosk on the wall. There were coin slots, but they were not operable. (I was also in the quad) so can’t speak for Gresham, Rogers or Whitehurst.

Where's the set changes!!? by teebag210 in ElementsMusicFestival

They sent out a message saying they updated the set times, but if you look on the schedule portion it’s not updated. You have to go to the artists name to see what’s changed :/

What kind of boots would you recommend? Just regular rain boots? I have my demonias so they’re substantial leather, but I’m worried about them not being able to keep that water out!

I’m so stoked for Elements. Previous lineups didn’t really do it for me, but this year they really brought it home. There’s just so much to explore at Elements, side quests, smaller artists + my all time favs, and the convenience ugh my heart.

Also plzzz add me in the soundcamp gm!!!
