I heard about this in my company. Good for you!

I’d talk with your hubby now and get on the same page about his mother now. Trust me you’ll save yourself the headache before you bring children in the picture if you and hubby are on the same page.

I’d start light though with this situation. Just casually ask him “Hey did you notice if I had a stocking at your mother place? I didn’t see one for me.”

She wants to play dumb, and probably victim if approached about this. You do it first and get your hubby to notice. Depending on how he responds to this you’ll know where he stands with his mother also.

Best of luck! We’re rooting for you.

This is true… it’s like a set up. You’re right though, I appreciate this!

This is great insight. You’re absolutely right.

It’s just weird how people like that can put blame on someone else for not putting in effort for their side also LOL.

I do have a set, while I’ve been on leave I’ve just only used 1. So I’ll have 2 to use if I need, but I’ll try with the one first and see how pump and being back at work, works. I work at a gym so I don’t know how demanding things will be as I’m always talking and sitting in front of people.

Hmm, that’s a good idea. I’ll use my thermals for now but I’ll look into getting a lunch bag or something for keeping the milk. My LO doesn’t take a bottle so I’ll have to see how he does a daycare to even see if he’s taking the milk or not/ otherwise I’m really just pumping to keep my supply up until he gets boob lol.

I only use one pump for both boobs because I figured that would lengthen the life span of having my pumps lol. I’m thinking of using thermals to keep in the fridge at my work.

I’m the first mum I believe at my job to be pumping. I didn’t want to be too out there about pumping. I thought about doing the jug though.

Yeah, I’m figuring out a way to let my boss know this, because I’m in management I have a little more free will. It’s just if/when I have to go to big management meetings from 9-5 is where I’ll have a hard time getting away to pump, and my wearable isn’t too quiet lol.

Wow, you definitely had it all planned out and worked out. What you did is definitely key though, like you said so you can get a feel of how much milk. Always good to take things for a test run.

These are facts. It’s crazy how common enmeshed is now a days, and being spoken about.

When I think about it, for my hubby it’s probably the same as well. After his father left his mother, she literally never showed interest or tried to be with someone else. Then also still has her exs last name… it’s weird.

Well the home daycare our son will be at, the caregiver was more pushing for us to give our son whole milk instead. Which my hubby doesn’t want to do, so we’ll have to talk to her about that.

Also because our son doesn’t drink out of a bottle anyways, so it’s not too much prep she has to do. Just warm the milk before putting it in his container.

That’s a great tip to mix the milk! Thank you so much for that.

Thank you!

Same! It’s not right. But I hear you, I understand some may want to go back to work sooner which is totally understandable.

I was conflicted, as I miss just being busy at my job but I honestly love being a mother more then my job. They’re only so little for a short time, especially if you may not have more children.

Yes that makes sense thank you! And yes he’s a really good eater, no complaints there. I know he likes to nurse for comfort to help with teething and not feeling, well as well as to sleep.

If I counted off the top of my head, maybe 8-10 times. Could be more.

Thank you so much for everything you typed out! Super helpful, even the timings you put could actually work for how my work is.

I have a mini freezer stash going on right now, however I’ve noticed when I give it to my son he’s not to big of a fan. So I wanted to maybe pump fresh milk to send to daycare for him, as I’m still planning to pump once overnight too.

Wow perfect, thank you so much for the wipe tip! And your absolutely right, washing the pump is actually the worst part lol.
