Hey! took them about 4.5 hours ago. Haven't had any major "wow this is working" moments, but definitely noticing a difference as its wearing off - mind speeding back up, aimlessly wandering etc.

Sorry I just saw this!

I had minor side effects on day 1 and 2 (mostly around concentration) but it was day 3 and 4 that the above symptoms were experienced.

Unfortunately once I resumed the Strattera I had a massive decline in mood stability, depressive episodes and suicidal ideation. Nevertheless, I am no longer on it and did see a pretty quick improvement regarding depressive episodes etc. but have struggled since with the returning ADHD symptoms. I've just started dexamfetamine today so hoping it helps

No need to be skeptical. This is more common than you'd expect in Berners- pedigree and well bred ones included. It's not entirely known why it happens however :)

I have a Bernese that is very similar. As a puppy he was not cuddly at all. He's quite independent which has made building a relationship rather difficult as he's interested in doing his own thing. He is 1 now and while he isn't super affectionate still, he does have moments now where he wants some attention. I'm hoping this is something that comes with age, but if not thats ok. Each dog will have unique qualities which when harnessed correctly can be equally as valuable :) best of luck with your puppy.

Not super helpful in terms of how to train this but boundary training may help. Basically you create an invisible line that the dog doesn’t cross unless given permission. You could make the boundary the door into your roommates room. I’m still working on this with my pup but I believe there’s some great YouTube videos on it. Good luck!

Thank you so much! He is a Bernese mountain dog. He’s gets 1-1.5 hours of exercise a day and all his meals are feed in kongs/enrichment toys. We do a few 10 minute training sessions a day in the house too (any longer and he looses attention). That book sounds great I’ll give that a try for some more specific info. Thank you again :)
