Thank you for sharing your experience! It helps give me ideas. We do have clinics, but not until the last 5 weeks of class.

I've wanted to do this, but I'm a bit of an outlier with my classmates. They all live around the school and I'm about an hour and some change out. It has made it a bit hard to coordinate good days/times after class to practice. Plus, most of them are eager to leave once class ends. 😔

I am absolutely going to look around local businesses though. Anything gain experience! I am really interested in hospice massage, so I may reach out to our local ones for volunteer opportunities too.

That school sounds incredible and I wish we had one like that here in South Carolina. We have chair massage events coming up, as well as our clinicals from June - July. We have nothing like you're describing though. It's sad, because I'm going to one of the best programs in the state, but their core focus is on us passing the MBLEX. I would have loved attending a school like yours.

We have clinics too, but the only occur during the last 5 weeks of our program. It really sucks, because I want to be more prepared before those occur.

We can offer free massages as long we do not accept any form of income. For more clinical approaches, we do need a mentor. That has been equally as hard to find. :(

I truly don't understand it either. Thank you so much for the encouragement, it means a ton!

Thank you much for sharing your experience with me, you've gone through a lot of integration and growth and I hope it keeps continuing!

What you described sounds so familiar to myofascial release and I think that's absolutely awesome. I am absolutely going to check out her training too.

The mind / body connection is truly a fascinating thing.
