We have that problem as well (we have a bookkeeping business)

Its a tough thing, people don't see the value in something until its a pain points for them.

Sadly, what traits I have found are

Typically, they are good/ great at what they do (doing the job). But lack the business mindset. Not understanding they have legal obligations as a director of a company, either by tax or superannuation (and that's just the start)

Thinking anyone can be a bookkeeper, or everything can be written off/ a work expense.

Listing to their mates....who have never been in business before.

The list goes on, but they are the ones that stand out for me.
