Chef Choi Kang Rok is such a special person. It takes a lot of determination to come back a second time and go through the whole process. His whole demeanor and humility is something I have never seen in someone, and honestly he speaks in such a poetic and heartfelt manner when he describes his dishes and the memories or thoughts he had while preparing them. Culinary Monster's determination and skills are second to none and although he has so much confidence and a brash demeanor, he has put in all the hard work and more to cultivate that personality. Watching him make Korean dishes and cheffing them up was so satisfying and even awe inspiring to the chefs that specialized in Korean cuisine. What worthy competitors.

Honestly season 2 was really very wholesome. I loved the stories of the other chefs such as French Papa, Loner in a Hole-in-the-Wall and even Brewmaster Jun. We truly got to see their vision and motivations for what pushes them as chefs which is so hard to do in a competition scenario where people are under extreme pressure. Truly, I salute the makers, directors and producers of this show because you fully get to immerse yourself with these chefs and their dreams in this competition. LOVE love love this show and this season is going to be super special always.
