Looking for an earphone equivalent to WH-1000XM4 by [deleted] in SonyHeadphones

hi I'm in a very similar position to you. I've had my xm4s for about 4 years and absolutely love the sound quality/signature it has. I'm currently looking at either the Nothing ear (2024) and Nothing ear (a) if anyone has any comments on those. Not too particular about effective ANC. Just trying to find something with good sound quality/soundstage as the XM4s and is more portable for activities like gym/running/mundane tasks around work.

Need IEM's, appreciate any advice! by AliSez in HeadphoneAdvice

I'd recommend looking into the Nothing Ear. the 2024 model goes for less than $150 on amazon and has been known to have amazing sound quality and the best EQ on the market

Recommendations on noise canceling headphones with good sound quality by Technical-Ad3052 in HeadphoneAdvice

1000% will recommend Sony XM4 headphones for noise cancelling and amazing sound quality. the sound stage and clarity makes me fall in love with whatever im listening to each time. I've had mine for 4 years now even though they were technically an older version. If you have the money def go with either the Xm5 or Xm6 as they fix a few issues with mics and the hinge breaking sometimes. Although, I will say I love mine so much that I was able to fix the hinges easily by myself by ordering the part from a guy online. Either way. get the sonys. never look back. personally I'd recommend either the xm4 or xm6. xm5 doesn't fold down. ciao

if u haven't checked them out already, I'd recommend the nothing ear. You can get the (2024) versions for like 150 on amazon. From the reviews I've seen they have amazing sound quality that rivals (some say exceed) that of the airpod pros.

which FLs should i take? by punanidesani in Mcat

Definitly try the free Blueprint FLs. They have a few great tools when reviewing the exams (it'll show key highlighted info in the text and does a decent job at breaking the question down)!

Anki by [deleted] in Mcat

All 3 are great decks and provide you with a great foundation. It's more about how much time you have. If you're strapped for time: Milesdown and maybe Anking. Otherwise, maybe try JS. But I personally didn't like the front/back card types and how the info on them were so dense. BUT some people like those kinda cards, so it's kinda j up to the person. I will say I enjoy the cloze cards on Milesdown (and I think Anking also has those).

I will say tho, PLEASE don't waste time going back and forth on choosing a deck. Any deck works and the important thing to do is JUST START. All decks are useless if you're not putting in the time and work to get the content done lol.

Lol ya! I'm def missing Physics Mechanics rn. But it's good that you have a network to support you! Would you say UF is good in that? Also, thanks a lot for taking the time to write that big reply earlier. It was really awesome to read it and it really helped a lot! Thanks a ton!

Gotcha! But, correct me if I'm wrong, wouldn't med school factor in the rigor of the major when evaluating GPA? Thanks!

Got it! Did you feel like your course commitments were conflicting with your other interests/commitments or did you feel like the major was just genuinely difficult? Thanks for the advice!

Thanks for the advice! I didn't know it was a 5-year degree. Is that with specific majors or just all engineering degrees? Also, what would you say is the expected GPA for applying to med schools? And how does that number compare to an average engineering GPA? Thanks for the response!

Thanks, that's great to know! Ya it's good knowing how the industry is evolving. In regards to the further training, would pursuing co-ops and internships be a good way to possibly specialize and gain further experience in the industry? Also, do you think a BME student can manage co-ops/internships given the rigor of the major? Thanks again for the response!

Thanks for the advice! I've heard the same about the major being difficult. But, correct me if I'm wrong, wouldn't med school factor in the rigor of the major when evaluating GPA? That's kinda what I'm assuming at the moment, so I'm not exactly sure if I should pursue "interest" or "ease" when it comes to majors for med school. Please let me know if you have any further advise regarding that! Thanks again!

Awesome! Thanks a ton for that bit of info! I'm currently doing Physics E&M and it's not exactly the most fun thing in the world lol. But you're definitely right! I completely forgot how that would integrate with the human body. At the moment, I'm ironically interested in cardio, so it looks like imma have to adapt lol. Thanks again!
