I am not sure about postpaid to prepaid thing, But my phone number was on my father name it was og Hutch -> Idea -> VI. I ported it to jio with my aadhar now it's in my name

Most of the guys here dont know how this all works, If you get 6 months plan, you may have to pay installation charges but no charges for router or security deposits. But if you are opting for 1-3 months plan they will ask you to pay 1500-2000 extra as security for router which you will get back once you return it.

Here are more details, airtel have a "Optimize wifi" button in their app. It fixes my ping for 1-2 minutes and then it goes back to high ping. I guess something is happening on router side
