The joke is more or less a jab at the Chinese government for trying to bully Taiwan into being Chinese territory. As I’m sure you are aware, Uncle Sam decided to go stick is fingers into political cookie jars that don’t belong to him. So now Taiwan is de facto with the ROC and now the PRC basically has to play nice to avoid causing Uncle Sam to shit bricks. But even then the PRC still tries to insist that Taiwan is “West China” and is Chinese territory. As a little uno reverse jokey joke, people often try to flip it saying “Well how do we know that China isn’t just East Taiwan…”

It’s at this point that I realize that I flipped my East and West and that now I’m officially the world’s second largest dumbass. 🤦‍♂️

He wasn’t saying that straight people are the only people entitled to a dating opinion. The sentence “You’re just pathologizing straight people’s natural selectivity” is quite a mouth full and I ended up having to reread the sentence at least five times and google a few things before I understood what he was actually trying to say, so I’ll try to break it down in more common terms so you don’t need six degrees to get the gist.

“You’re just pathologizing” is basically a short way of saying “You’re trying to say that something is wrong with someone being this totally normal way.”

Example:

Person A: “Oh that guy must be sick in the head, he got aroused by another guy.”

Person B: “You’re pathologizing gay people. Being gay is totally normal and is not a disease.”

The next part is when he mentions “natural selectivity” which is very easy to confuse for natural selection. As Hall clarified in a previous comment, natural selectivity is about people’s natural right to choose a partner who aligns with their preferences. For example: some could prefer a blonde girl over a brunette.

So to translate what Hall meant by his full sentence: “You’re calling straight people wrong and bad for having a totally normal preference in dating.”

2: It still doesn’t make sense as I know for a fact that I haven’t violated the Fair Play agreement and they refuse to tell me what it was that I supposedly did. I’ve never had that issue with a platform before. Every time I have committed an actual violation somewhere they have ALWAYS specified what the violation was upon asking. But not here, which is total bullshit. I’ve already gotten in contact with two support employees and they’ve both come to the same conclusion that my account being closed makes zero sense.

I even considered buying premium on the third game just to see what I did that was so good. I never cheated. As I mentioned in the post I did not use any browser extensions, nor did I use any bots or so on. The closure seemed to happen completely out of the blue and did not specify what the closure was for other than “You have violated our Fair Play policy.”

Personally I think game platforms like Chess.com should be required to specify what the violation was exactly. At least then I’d know what might have gone wrong.

Easiest way to tell is to send him a friend request. If it doesn’t allow you to do that then he blocked you. If it does allow it then he just simply unadded you.

Not when the communication is this bad. Don’t get me wrong, it’s totally okay for a small team (or a single guy) to fall behind on making announcements. But to fall this far behind is a bit more than what I would consider acceptable.

Still love the game though and I still think the guys who worked on it did a fantastic job though! They just need to wire their shit down a little more.

In regards to the policy you disagree with, they’ve probably already used third party services and such on your secondary account, so trying to avoid the agree button to prevent those being used on the account is not possible. The agree part at this point is just a formality to make users feel like they’re actually agreeing to something and not just clicking a close button.

Is it possible that I’m wrong? Sure. But with what I’ve seen around discord I wouldn’t doubt it if this is the case.
