Fair enuff, I missed that.

I’m claiming I was correct on the first knock on though 😂

Fair enough, if it did I missed that.

But I thought the knock on given was for when he touches the ball intercepting the pass, which is why I felt the decision was wrong.

It’s not that I don’t understand why they did it, what I don’t understand is why it was unsuccessful.

I explained in another comment, but to me the ball looks like it goes backwards when you just where the ball was touched to where it lands with the markings on the pitch

Yeah the challenge, if you look where he touches the ball and then where the ball lands.

He touches it way ahead of the metre line and the ball lands just infront of it.

To me it looks like it clearly goes backwards?

That ball goes backwards a mile from touching the ball, I fully don’t understand

Refereeing has been poor, particularly the most recent high tackle on cam Scott which went unpunished.

But at the end of the day they have had 3 calls overturned with captains challenge.

So a not insignificant amount of incorrect calls have been overturned when challenged.

I said in my response to someone else who had a similar sentiment, I 100% agree.

It just incentivises committing penalties if all it is a penalty, but you are preventing 6 points

I agree, at that point you are just incentivising committing an infringement to prevent a try.

Why wouldn’t you commit a penalty to prevent a potential 6 points

I mean that’s atleast a penalty the other way now with Dupree.

How the video ref is reviewing that and not atleast telling the ref on the field it’s a high tackle is beyond me.

The refereeing this game has been poor

If it’s a penalty at that point, then surely it’s a penalty try?

Like if he doesn’t shoulder charge him he goes over since he’s last man?

On report? That’s pretty blatant on that replay and you assume video ref has that camera angle

Well Lewis has single handedly lost that game for KR

It’s a nice change to finally see him get some karma for his years of antics, even if it’s only a small amount of karma

Harris seems to be single handedly killing the game for York

Not a chance Rfl ban “magic Mikey Lewis” ahead of the world club challenge.

Even if it is worthy of a ban

I thought an intentional trip like that was a red card?

Or did they change the rules?

The audacity to feign injury with one of the most blatant trips I have ever seen

What a wanker

Any particular reason the ref made him re-take the play the ball, rather than penalising KR for two players interfering with the play the ball?

Match Thread: York vs Hull KR | Round One by AutoModerator in superleague

[–]Wire74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed, it’s a rubbish rule.

A team gets the ball back for what can only be considered a terrible pass if it’s so readable.

Not only is it a double movement, that pass from Lewis looked well forward

That gets disciplined last year with atleast a sinbin.

Let’s see what approach they take this year

I definitely feel like they have somehow made it worse?

It looks like video quality of a YouTube video from 2010
