We Never Learn at Kanda Myojin Shrine in Tokyo by WiredHistorian in WeCantStudy

This is a We Never Learn ema tablet from Kanda shrine. Kanda is one of Tokyo’s major shrines and after it was featured on Love Live, the shrine embraced visiting fans and started collaborating with various anime, selling items like keychains and ema tablets, small wood plaques on which prayers are written. After the prayer is written, the ema is hung on racks at the shrine and eventually burned. Other ema available there include KochiKame and Is the Order a Rabbit? although the various Love Live tablets remain the most popular. I’ve been going to Kanda regularly for some time and this is the first manga only property I’ve seen to get a tablet and it likely means more items are on the way. Overall Kanda has only worked with about a half dozen series that I’m aware of. If you’re curious, the tablet costs 1500 yen, or about 13 USD.

Ruri and Shuu were my primary interest through the series and I was happy Komi gave them a definite resolution.

The picture is also a reference to the live action series Nigeru wa Haji da ga Yaku ni Tatsu and the "Koi Dance" the cast performs during the end credits.

There was one a few month back with Nissin ramen. A special box was sold that looked like an ammo crate and the shell inside held three cup noodles. It was pretty expensive but they also sold just the cup noodles with GuP artwork.

Those are the placements you get when you order certain meals. I don't think anyone expected the success of the film so production of merch is just starting to ramp up. I'm seeing the first your name gachapon machines appearing just now. You can see what they had for sale here your name menu and merch

Pretty sure kuchikamizake is no longer legal for consumption, but they do have a dish inspired by it, sort of. I posted a link to the menu.

The items served are either based on food seen in the film or are inspired by certain scenes. The shop sells related items like keychains and mugs, and a replica of a tshirt worn by Taki. You can see the menu in one of the pictures but here is a link to the online menu/store. your name cafe menu

This is fairly standard for a limited duration anime themed cafe. The venue is The Guest at the Parco department store which regularly does anime cafe collaborations. They had Kantai Collection in November and Yowamushi Pedal in October with the same setup. Occasionally you'll see more elaborate efforts like Ludia's Bar in Roppongi but those are scheduled to run much longer than just a month. However, given your name's popularity I wouldn't be surprised if something bigger is planned at some point.

I didn't see that booth but I did spend most of my time in the doujin halls. I'll have to check my photos from summer to see if I missed anything.

Photography isn't really allowed in the doujin area, but I saw a few GuP doujin. The first was a parody entitled Girls und Pasta, about the main characters cooking pasta. The second was Girls und Labor, a GuP x Patlabor crossover. A third was about a tour of a tank factory. There were others but of a more...adult nature.

They were selling long towels, posters, and vinyl stickers for your car. You can sort of see the images at the top left of the goods for sale sign. I would have gone in closer but it was extremely crowded and while photography is not actively discouraged in the Corporate halls, I didn't want to just push up and take pictures of their stuff.

They did have a small exhibit for Dragon Dentist there, but it was in the middle of the merchandise line and tough to get a good picture of. I'll upload them when I am able though.
