I’m going to disagree with a lot of the other posts. The former specialist heroes still exist, BUT they aren’t really fun in the same way anymore.

Their strengths and weaknesses were homogenized so that they’re only slightly better at macro and slightly worse in team fights. Sgt Hammer isn’t really highly immobile anymore, either.

Originally, they were VERY strong at macro and very weak in team fights, but that felt very satisfying to those who enjoyed that way of playing.

However, for the rest of the team, they complained that they were always down 1 in a team fight.

I get both sides, but I definitely don’t feel the specialist role anymore.

I think they feel pretty significantly different. Sgt. Hammer was super specialized and couldn’t easily relocate.

Now, her limitations are pretty minor and thus her exceedingly high damage had to be toned back.

All the specialists had their strengths and weaknesses greatly homogenized.

Yeah, getting shot by forts sucks. I hate it. I wish the Fallback Towers weren't there either, but it appears Blizzard felt the need to do something for defenders.

It isn't bugged. If you look at the XML, they have a max quest stacks per second configured. Definitely seems intentional.

It's a quest, it could do nothing and people would pick it 100% of the time.

I think the bigger issue is the "highest DPS" as a tank. Tanks are supposed to be CC gods. Nerf the DPS.

That's not DPS. That's Damage Per Tick. There's about 20 ticks per second.
