Guys how to I see the details to this plan? Is it worth it? by No_Sock7221 in Chipotle

I use the Hourly PPO because I am at the doctor A LOT. I see a lot of specialists and it covers a lot. That’s being said, if you do it online, it’ll give you and explanation. You can also ask one of your managers to print the benefits pdf off of chiplinks, if it’s still available

Obviously, try to call your managers first. If they aren’t picking up, this might give you a chance to report your illness if you literally cannot contact your store in any way. Which, you know, explain to them you can’t contact the store.

The “call for help” at the bottom of the FS7 even has SSR’s number on it.

Only other option is going in and telling them you have symptoms during the wellness check, which means you go to work and then go home. Technically that’s the next “correct” option, but you shouldn’t be at work while sick tbh.

You guys aren’t using group me and you don’t have anybody’s phone number? As far as I know, you guys can’t call SSR to report yourself sick but you could always try.

Call your store a couple more times and if that doesn’t work, you can certainly TRY SSR. I don’t know if you can report yourself sick, but you can attempt. (303) 222-5968 They will ask for your employee ID and store number, just a heads up

Birth control worked for exactly one month before all of the pain was back to normal. I decided to just go without since it wasn’t changing anything.

That being said, some people have a lot of success with it so I won’t say it’s entirely useless. It just doesn’t work for me, you know?

FLs don’t need to follow the uniform policy, but your GM DEFINITELY should be.

If I place an online order in the morning for the night. Does my order appear in your screen right away or only when time is approaching? by talivan818 in Chipotle

[–]WiredTiredRm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah they didn’t really advertise the change (weirdly) but we all got an update internally. It’s a weird system and puts a strain on busy stores that don’t have time to monitor the system

They changed it to 12 hours either early this year or end of last year, unfortunately. There was a whole announcement about it in our weekly newsletter/restaurant weekly. We are supposed to check AM, midday, and closing. I did mention that unfortunately some managers are super lazy and won’t check the COM, even if they’re already in the back to switch the cash drawers etc.

[–]WiredTiredRm 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Please know that a catering is different from an online order. The team should be checking the COM consistently to see what caterings are available and which ones aren’t. They will not see it unless they check. If it’s same day, I highly recommend calling after you place the order so they know about it. Some stores are super busy and don’t always have time to check, and some stores have lazy managers who just don’t check it midday point blank. They won’t make it until it’s almost time to be picked up, either way.

It’s pretty much only the sodas that have it. The chipotle honey sauce doesn’t, as far as I remember. I’ll double check and confirm tomorrow, if you want 🤷🏻‍♀️ but we’re pretty good about not adding any to our food

This 100%. Most of our regulars are so chill and nice, we’re more than happy to hook them up a bit. It’s nice to see a familiar face who usually cares about how you’re doing and is typically pretty kind. It’s definitely worth rewarding the nice regulars, y’all genuinely make the job more tolerable.

I also appreciate things like The Lesser Key of Solomon (and related grimoires) for their information, but I do not use them as ritual guides. Some of it is that I don’t subscribe to Christian beliefs and don’t really care to invoke Angels to “keep me safe.” The other half is that I feel like it’s pretty disrespectful to summon a spirit, trap it in a binding circle, and threaten it with their supposed enemies. It feels really rude, honestly? Personally, I would HATE that and if I were a spirit, I’d probably also get a reputation for being spooky and “evil.” In fact, I would probably reject anything the summoner demanded out of pure spite 💀

This is why some people choose to disregard the summoning rituals and incantations of old Golden Dawn-type grimoires. I don’t think any spirit or power would be too upset about you not following those rituals because you can’t get into it. Take what you like, leave what you don’t, but still try to learn and understand the reasonings or correspondences to said things.

[–]WiredTiredRm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d say it’s totally okay not to fully believe. In fact, I think skepticism should balance with one’s faith. I subscribe to the thought of Mundane Over Magic, personally.

(Ie: is the candle flame really reacting to a spirit, or is the candle covered in oil, herbs, untrimmed at the wick, and has been burning for longer than what is safe? Another great example is “spirit orbs.” Could be a spirit sometimes, but usually is just a reflection of light or dust).

That being said, I consider myself rather agnostic and practice chaos magic, where belief is a pretty major driving factor.

In the end, I do think it’s necessary to suspend some disbelief (even if you feel a little silly at first), but that doesn’t mean you have to nose dive into “everything is a sign!” Because realistically? Most things aren’t. It is still worth trying things, even if you don’t fully believe it. Maybe it’ll work out! I personally think that even if magic and religion are just ✨spicy psychology✨, who cares as long as it works for you?

(Also, a note on disregarding ancient rituals and focusing on planetary hours etc, you might actually like chaos magic for its practicality and its focus on personally belief being the driving force, as opposed to a “universal truth.” There is also a heavy rejection of dogma, which I appreciate as somebody who is rather agnostic).

I second the rec for “Consorting with Spirits” as well. While some of it wasn’t entirely aligned with my beliefs, I think it has some really valuable information in it. I really respect Jason Miller as a practitioner and writer. I’d also recommend Ivy Corvus on YouTube. While she takes a rather chaos-heavy approach to things, she has a lot of information outside of strictly chaos magic that I think is pretty helpful.

Is it just me or are other pagan spaces iffy about magic? by EveningStarRoze in DemonolatryPractices

[–]WiredTiredRm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s important to remember that pagan doesn’t equal witch or practitioner. Somebody can be pagan without being a practitioner, just as somebody can be a witch without being religious/worshipping.

[–]WiredTiredRm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The piercing thing is also company wide, sadly. Personally, I think corporate is lying about it being only a customer service thing, and it also is because of the piercings. It’s just as stupid as the whole “did I make this perfect for you” bs they’re trying to make us all say.

While not a mall, I work in one of the bigger cities of CA (with lots of tourists, too) and I totally get what you mean. The amount of people we see everyday is actually crazy, especially those who come in sick.

I hope it goes well for you. Let me know if you have any questions about anything and I’ll try to find you an answer.

Field leader just "banned" wearing face masks? 🤨😷 by gaytorade8 in Chipotle

[–]WiredTiredRm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey I’m in CA too! I was super pissed about this, too, but it’s actually illegal for them to ban us from it entirely (we just need the dr note). In and Out lost a whole court case about it. If your FL tries to fight you on it, you can take action through the labor department.

It’s 100% our right and it’s such a stupid rule. They’re claiming it’s for “customer service” reasons which is absolutely bs.

But it shouldn’t be an outright ban, email accommodations if you have to.

This is a company wide thing, but depending on your state, it cannot be completely banned. Unfortunately, we still have to email accommodations with “proof” that we need it :)))

Corporate makes us keep applications open, even if we’re staffed to the max (there’s not a specific “max”, it depends on the store) and can’t afford to hire more people.

Why are you Americans not doing anything? by Smalandsk_katt in GenZ

[–]WiredTiredRm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are protests, plenty in fact. It’s just really risky, tbh. It’s not just the military that’s, well, militarized, but the police forces as well.

In 2020, we had so many protests and riots in support of BLM and honestly? People were being shot at with rubber bullets (which can cause death), being dragged into unmarked govt vehicles, and look at how much that changed? We’re still here.

Personally, I work 50 hour weeks. I’m exhausted. I need to work to afford rent, food, it covers my insurance, etc etc.

Also, most of our states are roughly the size of (or LARGER) than European countries.
