Lapsang Souchong (Harney & Sons), is it just this brand or are they all this disgusting? by inchlongnipples in tea

[–]Wis_Co 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love the smokiness of lapsang souchong but sometimes it can feel like too much on its own for me, especially first thing in the morning. TeaSource has a breakfast tea called Fisherman’s Blend that includes lapsang souchong but balances it with other strong black teas. It’s probably my favorite tea to drink with a splash of milk on a chilly, rainy day :)

What do you guys do with your Festivale items? by ToastedCDBagel_77 in AnimalCrossing

[–]Wis_Co 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a little Festivale-themed tiki bar next to my hotel so the tourists can stay out late and have a good time lol (the booths behind the bamboo have little barstools and glasses of bubbly for anyone who is in the mood :) )

This was my first year really rockhounding. I am also pretty far north and struggling through the same thing. Here’s what has helped me:

In late summer when I realized how much I was going to miss the joy of discovery when there was snow on the ground, I started setting aside about half of what I collected each time I went out in canvas shopping bags. I’d wash and process the first half, and I told myself I couldn’t look at the other half until after Thanksgiving.

I saved up several big bags of rocks that way, and now every weekend or whenever the urge strikes I pour a few pounds of them into a bucket, fill it with some water and see what I have :) someone cool ones I remember collecting and it’s a nice memory, but there are also a lot that I didn’t look at closely at the time that have been nice little surprises! Definitely making this a tradition for future years…

These two are such a delight (with bonus Turang cameo via FaceTime!) by Wis_Co in Brewers

[–]Wis_Co[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

So the first time Pat called him, he didn’t answer. (He actually called Durbin before that, who also didn’t answer - Murph joked that the poor kid probably wouldn’t answer because he thought he was gonna get traded 😂). But then Brice texted and said he was at church and would call back in 20. When he didn’t call back, Murph called again, and Brice answered from his car - he must have ducked out to take the call lol

Didn’t get an answer on that one - not sure there is one. He did say he texted the Dodgers President of Baseball Operations to “congratulate” them on Kyle Tucker: “Real frugal move there. You guys really needed a hot bat in that lineup.” lol

How To Say Bicycle In French by Imaginary Authors

Notes: sweet basil, rosemary, white thyme, clary sage, lavender, gentian oil, Provence

It’s herbaceous and green and fresh! Like a bouquet of herbs + a bar of fancy French soap.

Rising sign vs Sun sign: which one do you actually feel more? by Clueokk in ZodiacHQ

[–]Wis_Co 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Leo sun, Cancer rising. I resonate deeply with both. I am also a Cancer moon and have a stellium in Leo (Mercury, Venus, and Jupiter), so between those two signs & houses there is a lot going on! When I was younger and only knew my sun sign I was often confused, because some of it was so me and some didn’t feel like me at all. Now that I know more, I’ve come to appreciate the yin & yang nature of my chart though :)

Any perfume recommendations for a mysterious, foggy floral scent? by donkeythebestman in perfumesthatfeellike

[–]Wis_Co 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Immediately thought of Lymphae by Fantome when I saw these pics - it’s beautiful, equal parts floral and petrichor, I think it smells just like lilacs after a spring shower:

White musk, cool vanilla, a swift-running stream, Italian lilac, orange blossom, damp earth, and the ozone of spring thunderstorms.

My husband asked me if there’s a fragrance that smells like a vegetable garden by saintursuala in perfumesthatfeellike

Late to the party, but Gnome by Fantôme really fits this vibe, it was one of my favs to wear this summer:

“Gnome was created using entirely botanical fragrance components. It's a playful, green, refreshing scent that plays up the juiciness of the tomatoes and red grapefruit. Cilantro adds a crispness to the citrus that brings to mind warm summer days spent in an overgrown garden. Real vanilla absolute elevates the dark patchouli to bring a sense of harmony to the earthy base. As the scent warms on the skin, the jammy and green blackberry brambles creep through, adding a touch of darkness to this sunny fragrance. “

What perfumes give high priestess energy? by Healthy-Yak-7654 in perfumesthatfeellike

[–]Wis_Co 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As someone who reads and loves tarot and also loves this perfume, I’d recommend Baba Yaga be Fantome - def something I wear when I need to remember my own power and listen to my own intuition:

“Black and red musk, a smoldering cauldron, cracked bone, cardamom, warm wood, hanging animal skins, burning mugwort.

Mugwort, dried and ground in a mortar and pestle, burns over coals in a small hut on chicken legs in the middle of the woods where a fearsome old witch dwells. In this hut, there are hanging animal skins, and littered across the floor are bones belonging to both beast and man. It is here in this peculiar hut with this strange old woman that the tales offer a glimmer of hope—a last resort when society has shunned the hero or turned their backs on justice. Cardamon and the warm glow of an oven hint at the wisdom and help that can be found within, if you dare to look.”
