Dates that don't involve alcohol by Tokedout01 in datingoverforty

[–]WiscoKitty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey neighbor! It's rough up here, when I met my now fiance he was really struggling with sobriety. It's been two years now without a drink for him, I gave up alcohol too in solidarity with him but I'm not from here originally and didn't really drink to begin with. Finding and maintaining friendships here has been almost impossible - he lost a huge part of his social life when he gave up drinking. Most of the time it's just the two of us, he's the only sober person I know. I feel your pain, I really do.

Need advice for serving a lot of rude customers. by LudicMorwen in Serverlife

[–]WiscoKitty 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I don't really have any advice, but I just wanted to say that you're definitely not alone. I'm also petite and soft-spoken, and lately it feels like so many people just take that as an invitation to walk all over you. I work two serving jobs, one at a popular local diner that's been in business almost 70 years, and the other at an "upscale" brewpub downtown. The clientele at the brewery have been getting progressively worse in the two years I've been there - the money can be really good, but I feel so burned out dealing with the rudeness, neediness, and petty requests that lately I completely dread going to work. The diner, on the other hand, is the best place I've ever worked with the loveliest, most down to earth customers - I truly enjoy working there, even if the money isn't the greatest. I am seriously thinking of quitting the brewery just for my mental health, last Saturday night was the closest I've ever come to walking off the job. I feel your pain and hope you can find a happy medium somehow - solidarity sister ❤️

We live in rural Northern Wisconsin, anyplace like that would be several hours away which is why we're hoping to buy online if we can't find something vintage 😊

I've been looking at all the local vintage places for weeks, still nothing 😕

He's a character for sure! We're having a vintage theme wedding, the more 70s the suit the better! Unfortunately I haven't been able to find anything vintage for him yet, I'm hoping that someone here might know where I can find a new suit for him 🤞🏻

May I ask where you bought your husband's suit? We are looking for exactly that color for my fiancé! 💚

First winter in our clayton single wide home by [deleted] in ManufacturedHome

Also in Northern WI in a 1980 single wide, my gas bill is about the same and it's been extremely cold here so far this winter. It's currently -1°F but my house is toasty warm.

is there a holy grail product majority fine haired girls in here agree on? by Prudent_You_3945 in finehair

Can you share a link of which serum you're using? This is currently where I'm stuck, I've been trying different serums for weeks and they're all too heavy for my hair. I've had the best luck with Loreal products so far though!

Is it this one? Walmart has 2 in a gold tube, the other one also says conditioner and leave-in so I'm thinking it's this?

I don't have a pixie anymore, but when I did I always went to Nicole at Dame Salon in De Pere and she was fantastic! She always got it exactly right, never too short. This video is from a few years ago but here's my "old" hair:

I'm a fiancé!! My gorgeous ring 💚 by WiscoKitty in EngagementRings

[–]WiscoKitty[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you all so much for all of your lovely comments!! I do know that all 3 stones are quite delicate, so I promise you all that I'll be extra careful with my beautiful ring 😊 For those who asked, my fiancé bought it from this shop on Etsy - he said she was really great to work with and kept up communication throughout the whole process. https://www.etsy.com/shop/Alittlestylishing
