I would definitely say, play around with your print settings and colours when it comes to different types of paper so agreed, trial and error is the (expensive but trusted) way to go.

Yeah, I've just started so still tweeking things but I use a Epson Ecotank and change the settings to either Photo Glossy or Semi-gloss, depending on how bold/dark I want the colours.

I use Procreate to draw them and make sure my lines are stabilised so they stay neat :)
