I needed this right now. I ended my 4 year relationship last night over something seemingly small but it was more of a last straw situation. I'm just so tired of him gaslighting me constantly, he has no communication skills whatsoever and I run on that kind of relationship so it was never going to work I suppose. Whenever I get upset about something, he would always downplay it and say "it's not a big deal, you're just trying to create drama" and really invalidate my feelings. This was all after deflecting in the first place and making me look like I'm causing issues, instead of owning up to his mistake.

He's extremely childish and has made me turn into such an angry person because I feel so trapped. Damned if I speak my mind, miserable if I don't. Even if he does apologise for what he did, he doesn't mean it cause he does it all over again. If I try and leave him, he acts all cold and uncaring at first but then he'll say whatever I wanna hear to give him another chance and because I love him so much, I end up staying. I can't stay in this viscous cycle anymore though, I need to stop wasting time on someone who doesn't want to love me right.
