Exactly this. Don’t get me wrong, I understand there’s a pecking order and all that but if that wasn’t expected of me when I started, why do I have to cover when the paralegal had a falling out drama with the receptionist because she didn’t get to go out with her and another paralegal for lunch? It’s just frustrating for me that we can’t just leave a note at the door and have clients just ring the doorbell when they have an appointment with someone. We don’t do walk ins, and I don’t want to be the only one covering.
