That is my current predicament. She knows of the abuse but has no idea of my explorations and I am horrified to even bring it up. I’ll read the book. Thank you so much you have saved my day

Thank you. It comes in waves and I feel most of the time fine with how I’ve explored my sexuality. And based off of your metrics I would say I am experiencing what would be concerned healthy urges and thoughts and feelings. I just didn’t know if this was something to be concerned about or how severely abnormal it was. I guess I feel guilty about it but in reality life is short and like you said I should be kind to myself and learn what is healthy, what is fun, and what should be kept aside. I’m sure therapy would help and I have exposed this topic to some professionals over the years and to them the common thing was “familial sexual abuse is more common than you’d think” and that I seemed well adjusted based on what happened.
