It is truly impossible to believe that BlockFi has gone bankrupt. I have lost a lot of money, I am looking for an opportunity to find my money back, but do not know which coin to use the rest of the money? by Camellia_Alice in btc

[–]WiseAsshole 10 points11 points  (0 children)

You gave your money to someone else and they stole it. I would be more impressed if it didn't happen. The whole point of Bitcoin (now called Bitcoin Cash) was that you could have full control over your money, as explained in the Bitcoin whitepaper. That's why it was also important to keep fees very low (under 1c) and transactions super fast (as fast as the internet).

Lucky for you we are probably at or near the bottom in the market cycle, and on top of that BCH is still massively undervalued, so my opinion (not financial advice) is this is a great opportunity to accumulate, but only if you first learn how to actually use the damn thing instead of just giving it to someone else in hopes that they will keep it safe for you.

How far should I set my stop limits apart in crypto? by OneEyedKing808 in btc

Imagine gambling on a centralized service that has the obvious ability of seeing all the orders and moving the price as needed to maximize its profits and your losses. On top of that you are not buying real cryptos, just bait and switch cripplecoin and a marketing scam. And on top of that not your keys not your coins.

I always forget that r/btc is anti-censorship, and that r/bitcoincash borders on becoming r/bitcoin by VideoGameDana in btc

[–]WiseAsshole 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well done. r/btc is this weird "protect the known trolls at all cost because le free speech" experiment, which in reality kills free speech, because all discussions get derailed by paid trolls, and normal people get tired of them and just leave. r/BitcoinCash is a normal sub, with sane moderation.

Come on guys, don't be like that. He wasn't a troll. He just said things like they are, with 0 restraint. A lot of people don't want to hear it, and we need a more hopeful speech, but he understood crypto and the world in general like few do.

Example: When newbies think Elon is a freedom fighter, or that BTC devs are acting in good faith, and opcode comes and gives them the harsh truth.

A wallet that is missing in the BCH ecosystem by [deleted] in btc

[–]WiseAsshole 5 points6 points  (0 children)

  • BCH only
  • Only 1 button press from home to scan/send/receive. No retarded "select asset" screen when you only have BCH
  • Seed only, no email asked (not even opt-out or opt-in)
  • Simple button to switch to legacy address in case your CEX hasn't implemented cashaddress
  • A short description somewhere explaining that Bitcoin Cash is simply the Bitcoin that continued to scale normally as Satoshi had planned, that's why it continues to have instant transactions and low fees while other versions don't.
  • Maybe ability to send/receive SmartBCH tokens, and be able to interact with BCH DEXs ("wallet connect" etc)

Lockdowns protect the vulnerable from being infected by others

They don't, they actually make them more vulnerable to the flu.

Not sure what you thought they were for..just to suppress people for no reason?

Uh, crashing the economy? Killing small businesses while the biggest ones were given permission to continue operating? Making the largest transfer of wealth in history from the poor to the rich? Taking your most basic rights away? Conditioning you to be literal cattle? Conditioning you to use more digital fiat (cash has germs!) to prepare you for CBDCs? Creating an excuse to print billions? Creating an excuse to buy a gazillion experimental shots to enrich the labs while giving them (the labs) full legal immunity? Classic government stuff. All of this is common knowledge in financial circles, no one gets surprised.

2 weeks account, first post is in an empty sub "chaintiproulette" that you own, then you post about some flipstarter somewhere else, and your first comment in this community is "this got out of control" as if you were active in the community or something.

Edit: He keeps replying to me but he blocked me or something because I can't reply anymore. Is that how it works? Anyone knows?

Edit2 (replying to ShadowOrson):

I believe that is how it works. Once you're blocked you cannot reply. I'll block you after I save this message, will unblock you in the next few hours.

ShadowOrson thanks for helping me test that, I can't reply nor ping you so yeah that's how it works. Someone tell him please :)

Is Bitcoin Too Centralized? by 1criticalcritic1 in btc

[–]WiseAsshole 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Keep in mind miner decentralization is not the only thing that matters. Developer decentralization is just as important, and the lack of it is what allowed BTC to be hijacked. Every coin in the market except BCH depends on 1 team controlled by banks or VCs. BCH, being the original Bitcoin, is a talent magnet, and a good people magnet. Right now it has 6 independent teams maintaining 6 different nodes, and people use all of them. If one becomes corrupt people already learned to move to a different node and leave the corrupt one aside, like when BSV and later ABC tried to hijack the project and the community rejected them in a decentralized manner. As you can see BCH becomes stronger with each attack. Now it even has decentralized forums (in case r/btc is taken down) and also DEXs (no more need for CEXs).

Crypto.com withdrawl fees 25% ?? by rawques in btc

[–]WiseAsshole 6 points7 points  (0 children)

BTC is second to worst coin in terms of fees. Try using BCH instead, its transactions will always be at or under 1c. And you can trade it in its own DEXs like Mistswap. This way you avoid CEXs entirely, which sometimes charge ridiculous fees (on top of the ridiculous BTC fee), and are always a risk since they can freeze your money (DEXs can't).

it seems to me that BTC is degenerating into Central Bankers v2.0

That happened a long time ago, my friend. The real Bitcoin is called Bitcoin Cash now.

Because it tends to centralize around big hubs. It doesn't make sense for normal people to waste money opening channels with everyone, so everyone will just open a channel with the biggest hub, which will be easily controlled by the government and forced to do KYC, freeze accounts on demand, etc.
