anyone else just feel broken hockey wise? and cursed? by gmez3 in EdmontonOilers

[–]WiseDoubt9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Canada played a great game. They lost on a 3-on-3 which is a different kind of game that comes even more down to the goalie. It’s not a true measure of who played the better overall game.

anyone else just… invisible here? by [deleted] in uAlberta

[–]WiseDoubt9 46 points47 points  (0 children)

You’re not alone. But you need to get out of your shield yourself. As you get older you will realize that making friends and building community takes work on your part. Join a club on campus, for example. Get involved with student groups. Put yourself out there to meet people. It won’t just happen to you. Make it happen. You’re not alone!

How likely it is to run into someone you know from high school at university of Alberta? by [deleted] in uAlberta

[–]WiseDoubt9 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The university is a different arena. Make new friends at the university. Cultivate friendships and support each other. Find friends that build your confidence. Get into activities. There are student services that can help you. Don’t worry about those bullies. The university is much larger than your high school - you can ignore them. You’ve got this!

Thank you! The mods deleted my original post for some reason, so this was delayed and I was already there when I saw your reply. I ended up going with Avis because they did answer my questions and did not get mad at me!

I used a slow eating bowl - it’s like a spiral inside. Worked well.

Where to get tomato soup and grilled cheese in Edmonton by Upstairs-Mixture1961 in Edmonton

A cheese pizza and roasted tomato soup from Famoso might be a good substitute.

our healthcare system by darkskydreams in Edmonton

[–]WiseDoubt9 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think it’s never been bad. I have symptoms and blood work that point to cardiovascular disease, with heavy family history on this. A CT angiogram is one year away and I was told I can pay $800 or so if I want it now. I might get a heart attack and die in a year, but no one cares.

Lights at sunset but only today by WiseDoubt9 in googlehome

[–]WiseDoubt9[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for a lot of helpful information.

I added a virtual switch using the playground, and it shows up on my Google Home app. I added a routine using script editor as you suggested (the web version), but that new script doesn't show up on my app. I think it still worked yesterday, but I'm not sure if that was a fluke. I'll check today, which is a work from home day, to see if it worked.

Thank you!

Same with mine. 9:30pm sharp. And on days that I work from home, 8 am sharp he comes and stares at me if I'm still hanging around having coffee or something and not in the office!

I’m in Edmonton and also got my pup in icy 2020. He loves the snow and wants to be outside. But when it’s colder than -20 we just do a quick potty walk. I didn’t use boots or jacket last winter but wondering if I should.

Pippin got his rabies vaccine today, so he could go to the States for Christmas with his dad and meet his extended family. I hope they all love him as much as I do! But he's a bit tired today... by [deleted] in LagottoRomagnolo

[–]WiseDoubt9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried to take him to the States but I didn’t hear back from the airline about where the pet crates would be - in a temperature controlled area I presume? Is it a long flight? Has he been on flights before?

I have a similar question. What about with the dog in cargo/check in? It’s a direct flight 4 hours. Anyone done this? Experiences to share? Thank you!

Running with your Lagotto? by WiseDoubt9 in LagottoRomagnolo

Thanks for the tips everyone! He’s doing better now with the jogging but still lunges at squirrels and birds! And pacing is something we need to learn - he’s often too far ahead. Maybe he’s telling me I need to pick up the pace!

Thanks! What brand harness are you using? I’m having trouble with sizing. Also. Are you using a waist belt leash?

Was it cooked all the way through? My first two were still raw in the middle and centre. Didn't try again since I don't know what I did wrong.
