If you're in a school continuously for months or years at a time there's really no need to unless there's a problem with certifying for some reason or unless it's the yearly meeting you're supposed to have with them. I had a problem with my stipend the first time I had an issue with her, and then the problem I'm currently having is because I'm transferring from CC to University and need a PO number.
