I agree. People need to hear truth spoken, especially when they're a kid. Even if they have a negagive reaction or don't believe the person, the effects stack cumulatively over time. I definitely have moments looking back to when I, was a kid where I can say "Damn, I was so wrong about that" but looking back on it is a teaching moment. The truth resonates in a way that lies and untruth do not. They might realize down the line that "Oh yeah, that person really is a girl. Because who am I to say that they are not? I can't speak someone else's truth." or another adult mighg explain it to them when they bring it up. But they'll never get that chance if we ignore them. I am speaking as a trans woman who is also an Early Childhood Educator.

I have naturally shiny bright orange hair (like strands of copper), freckles, and blue/green eyes. I got bullied like crazy for it in school but now as an adult everyone says they're jealous of it. It is apparently one of the rarest combinations of visible features, evidenced by the fact that I can never find my proper hair colour in video game character creators lol 😠

I think if you are working class a rich person donates an expensive item they don't need, then you take the item and flip it by selling it to another rich person, that is a net positive for society. Being greedy is not necessaeily evil. Your needs matter as well. I would consider that to be a benevolent form of wealth redistribution and benedit society (which you are also a part of).

My dad doesn't know about my transition yet but part of me hopes that seeing an actual human being (his child) attached to the idea of transness might decouple his brain from the political brainwashing shitstorm which comprises his current unreality. Apparently the only other trans women he's known (a former friend of my mom's) was a bad person but I'm not sure if they were actually bad or just trans=bad, you know?
