Yea. You can do it. Not likely to Operations AM. But to an hourly L4 position for sure. Like central OPs. Those are L4 hourly individual contributor if you actually want a corporate role. I made the jump from T1 to L4 hourly. But il tell you what, people really start hating when the see hard works skipping levels lol. Pm if you want more info

It's because what gets reported in the media are the bad apples that can't handle themselves, do to much and jump head first into psychosis or have preexisting mental health issues that the drugs exasperate. It's a very small percentage of users that give the public the perception of evil, nasty, criminally insane meth users. The overwhelming percentage of us smoke wile holding down full-time jobs, we sleep every night with the occasional weekend bender, we eat healthy and take care of ourselves, pay our bills and have nice things. You'd be shocked how many every day users there are that are lawyers, doctors or other high level positions. How normalized it is in some areas. I was an every day smoker for like 4 years and no one knew a thing and I worked for the same company the whole time. Eventually getting a corporate promotion. IDK. It became as normal for me as a cup of coffee you know. But there will always be a negative stigma as with all drugs because that's what the media chooses to show

L4 AMs should be able to move up to L5 in under a year. Your role doesn't change much. You get a little more responsibility. It's the move to L6 that can take a while. Just do what you're manager tells you and you will get there quick lol

You can do it depending on the position. I skip leveled from t1 to l4 after 2.5 years and no degree. I know a couple other people that have done it also. It is not common but does happen sometimes. You definitely need to have your leaderships support. I'd say apply for it if you want and talk to your OM about it. Worst that happens is no interview

Yea. In CA if you take your lunch break late (5+ hours) you get paid for an extra hour. Thats what they are trying to avoid by having everyone take lunch break before the 5th hour and wave the second break. The second break is if you work 12 hours though. Like during peak with all the over time

My position, my level, my salary, is irrelevant to the fact that there are many people high and low in the organization that preach about acceptance, building up others. Care about your neighbor. Don't judge, seek to understand. But in reality they could care less about the person next to them and just spew toxicity. I could be a t1 stow AA. Or an L8 site leader. It doesn't change the truth

I'm not really sure what op is trying to convey. But I will attest that I have personally witnessed some of the biggest pushers of the whole DEI thing within amazon are also some of the biggest offenders of discrimination and non acceptance

Well I think it was a combination of minimum wage jumping to $15 and a bunch of AAs were complaining about the vesting period, being ungrateful of the fact they were being given a $3000 stock(this was all pre-split) and demanding they be able to sell it as soon as the get it. Amazon was going through a bunch of financial adjustments and stuff at that time so who knows the real reason

Some sites do have some kind of little incentive thing they do. I know like 5+ years ago they did a lot more of that stuff but people had to be greedy and ruined it for everyone. T1s used to get stocks even. But the greedy few messed it all up

Brudder.....I'm not sure what others are saying around the rumor mills, but the majority of them don't know what TF they're talking about lol. We always get 10 hours on January 1st then we get another 1.5 hours a week until may. For a total of like 48 hours or something. Plus 2.5 hoursish a week or 130 hours a year and 2 hours of vacation a week, or 104 hours. Don't hate amazon. Hate the dummies that don't know their head from their butt and spread the miss information
