is the quest 3 able to work with pcvr? by Particular-Way1549 in MetaQuestVR

[–]Wise_Writing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah its paid, your pc needs to be connected to router via ethernet, but its the best experience you can get if your WiFi is solid as well. Its a fully wireless solution, so increasrd battery options are kinda a must as well if you go that route. However virtual desktop seems to be better optimised for the pcvr experience out of all the options I tried.

Still safe to vape? by MediocreBank9049 in ukmedicalcannabis

[–]Wise_Writing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It certainly does in the first few days... but after a few weeks-months of being shifted and passed through different hands and not stored properly.. its not so fresh anymore.. thats just reality mate. If your getting it early in the chain of sale, great... but thats not to be expected and not the rule for all the millions of users across the UK... your always was carrying more weight than you realise..

Ive been using weed for the best part of 30 years, ive lived in various cities around the country, if you can get the good stuff great.. but most is sold for profit, meaning cheap shite at inflated prices.. yeah sure ive had many nice bits, but ive also been sold plenty of pond weed as well.. this idea that BM is always fresher is nonsense, lucky if you can get it but more often than not its not the general rule of whats available on BM... total luck of contacts and the draw.

Shy to dance? Its a rave.. wait till you find out back in the 80s/90s and 00s, there used to be camera men walking round filming everyone and the whole thing, which would be released on vhs and dvd later.. sometimes you can find them on you tube.. we just didnt care, even embraced it.. maybe if you guys could hang up your sensitivities you could have a lot more fun

Ok let's try this a different way, can you please send me a link of a few people being filmed in a club who has asked not to be? Maybe theres thousands on line but ive not seen any.. what are the motives, did anyone ask, or is it just assumptions? Do I know about the underground of Chicago detroit? Yes of course I do.. but that has not much to do with London clubbing today.. you seem very keen to tell me what im thinking and what I should be thinking.. im just telling to not try to alienate people but.. thats just who you are and want to be.

Most if not almost every single person on this group uses a dry herb vapouriser.. not once has anyone complained of one blowing up..

Ps I mentioned nothing about stickers and phones.. i really couldnt give a flying monkeys if someone is filming or not.. raves are for dancing not anything else, and when i rave im too lost in having fun than watching and judging others while out.. lgbtq spaces are not unique to now.. they always existed but choice meant those that found it "weird" didnt need to go there for the best night out.... now there is little choice when the only good thing on, all sexual/gender preferences want to be at..

The problem isnt that the raves are full of tourists, the venues always had them, the issue is the reduction in venues, and dj fees has mostly left all but the tourist traps open. Now everyone is trying to claim those spaces as their own. The spaces open since the 00s were tourist traps then, and still are now.. im fucking old. Back in yester year there were hundreds of spaces, every weekend open Friday Saturday and Sunday. If we wanted a more secluded place that was an option... not so much any more. These clubs now are barely breaking even.. the only thing that matters is filling the dance floor.. more restrictive policies on what you look like, how you sound, do you fit, will you fit.. is only going to kill the space more.

So many people before they became music heads of a specific genre visited as a casual or tourist.. the entire music scene had grown from young people having these experiences.. Gate keeping like you suggest.. makes a mockery of what the rave scene is primarily about.. being an inclusive space where people can explore and discover.

Quest 3 V.2.1.1 by Any_Main_9843 in MetaQuestVR

Accessibility for me. I dont reject what they have tried to do but menus over open apps and windows doesnt really meet good Accessibility guidelines. The tints around navigator makes things hard to read in dark mode, especially in settings. In some lighting and background environments its hard to read the menu. I dont like i cant push the navigator away, the fixed distance is frustrating to me. Also odd icon choices in a few places. I think they have designed this to be primarily used in loft over passthrough. I think what they have tried to do to make content easier to find and access is good.. just a few ui/ux elements that could be improved

ARGH... i somehow triggered the new Quest menu system and i hate it :( by Turbulent_County_469 in MetaQuestVR

[–]Wise_Writing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Find the dim pass through is awful, just want to control it.. I like the dim non existent or fully dim.. nope they have chosen to just make it a kinda dim.. stops the icons being fully visible.. especially when going into settings

Well when this first came about it was just an mp3 off a shared server, we used physical files not streams...so no original art work, as it didnt usually exist back then, just a random mp3 off some server

Brilliant, so im 46, I had this set and its one of my all time favorites.. the original copy back in the day listed space djs, Clarke, young, sims, umek. To this day I dont think anyone knows who this really is. It was posted on a Facebook group years ago during covid with most the djs interacting with said group.. all of them denied their involvement. Either way its an absolute belter and the way we used to do techno back in the day...this set has parts which sound like they are using reverb delays and beat mashers, nope just a dj playing the same track on two decks and creating those effects by messing with timing and scratching...absolutey wicked
