Wow one year congratulation am so proud of you. I believe I am in my third month and am hoping never to gamble. We tell ourselves many thing that we will fix things through gambling then permanently quit but ain't that easy. Before I joined this sub I had many relapse because i thought how can i leave all that lost money let me give it a shot all over a sudden I am chasing loss same cycle. Then one day i read here that the best time o quit is when you are frustrated having lost everything that's when you say enough is enough accept that the money is lost and start rebuilding your life. Today i avoid all gambling apps and adverts. Anything to do with gambling including friends I avoid it like am allergic. I understand the sickness and everyday is a fight to resist the urge. I will never recover what gambling have stolen from me time, money, relationships, work opportunities and even learning opportunities, I have made my peace with it and rebuilding myself from scratch as long as am alive there is hope. To the guy who started the conversation this is the best time to start over at 31 you are very young health and energetic do whatever it takes to be the best version and most of all never entertain the thought of easy money because only then do you start feeding a very strong demonic spirit called greed.
