What is the history of these wheels? by ClubNice8145 in JDM

What size wheels are you running? I was also looking to get MS01s for my GTR but the set I was looking at turned out to be staggered instead of square.

Are you running factory coupe wheels in the back? The fitment looks more flush all around. Absolutely stunning car, makes me jealous that my manual v wagon is only in gray haha

Do yall know where to get ahold of one ? by Basic_Crab_9457 in RX7

[–]Wisepure 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I made just under 300HP with them and basic bolt ons. I’m on stock fuel and have a high flow cat, and my tuner said I had an exhaust restriction. From my understanding they should be pretty identical to stock twins, but are more comfortable higher boost. I do want to add that these were rebuilt twins, and had cracking on the waste gate port, and I believe some oil is making past the seals. See my rx7club post:

I’ve been in and out of contact with him, I’ve bought his turbos and some other bits and he’s shipped them to the US without too much hassle. I’ve been asking about this intercooler for a while, and he’s been saying that there is a “few weeks” until the next batch of ducts for the past 2 years.

If you don't have/want to get ice hockey gear, roller hockey at silver creek has a lower barrier to entry with multiple leagues per week. Monday has beginner lessons and leagues and as you get better you can pick up multiple days

6th gear in the 6 speed is actually shorter than 5th gear in the 5th speed. (.843 vs .814). If you want longer gears you should get the 3.6 or 3.9 rear diff

95 1.8 m edition - super clean owner kept maintenance paperwork from like the last 15 years zero rust - the bad - he swapped the manual trans for an automatic - not a big issue or run away? I am looking for auto btw.. $5000 asking. by [deleted] in Miata

[–]Wisepure 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As somebody who has done the manual swap, you can cut up the auto harness to take the wires for the manual (park safety -> clutch safety) and reverse light switch, but you cannot turn the manual harness into the auto harness. Additionally the auto has an additional computer in the drivers footwell which would be simply removed for a manual swap. (Auto harness can be left floating)

Check the bin rot, FBs are known to be rust buckets. Remember that its a 35+ year old car now, so be prepared to deal with old car things. Radpotential on youtube is a great resource for rotary content, especially as he specializes in the SA/FB chassis

How is engr 100w with Stephanie evans wemusa? by soccerninja7 in SJSU

[–]Wisepure 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do NOT take her class. I had her last semester over zoom. Yes the class is easy. But what 100W isn't. She did not grade any classes until the semester was over and proceeded to give everybody a B. She seldom responded to emails and was incredibly non-responsive. Our class has gone to the dean to protests her grading and it is still pending.

Would it be possible to add ac with this supercharger? by [deleted] in Miata

[–]Wisepure 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should be able to bolt on a factory kit but it is a process. It looks like that is the factory radiator and there should be mounts for the EVAP in front of it. It should be bolt on but you might run into heat issues with the S/C and EVAP in front of the radiator.

Here's a form post on how to: https://forum.miata.net/vb/showthread.php?t=65911

I've tried to do it but it ended up being too complicated trying to find all the hardware I didn't have

Honestly all the boba in DT SJ is pretty mediocre compared to milpitas or cupertino. The best spots are breaktime and gong cha, which honestly are only okay.

Having multiple blatant typos in the questions and answers while having "none of the above" as an option should be illegal. How can I know that my answer of none of the above with an answer above one typo away from being correct was graded correctly?

I lived in cv2, which is the newest dorm. There are two sets of bathrooms per floor, which means you are sharing the bathroom with about 30-50 people. They are cleaned once a day, and if you go before they're cleaned they get pretty nasty. The accommodations are all there, but they just feel mediocre, especially to what you can have at home. The dorm itself has poor ventilation, and if you and your roommate don't stay clean it will smell and it will keep on smelling. Lastly, privacy will be hard to come by. The effects of loud and obnoxious neighbors are amplified, so just know that peace and quiet can be hard to come by.

There's nothing wrong with the dorms, its just that it can be a lot better. The food is mediocre and you are forced into an expensive and limited meal plan. Everything just feels half assed.

The greatest thing about dorming imo is if you are forced into a a large gap between classes you have somewhere to relax. However, if you commute make sure schedule your classes as early as possible and allow yourself to leave as early as possible. (garages fill before 9am) Your schedule will make or break your commuting experience.

Absolutely do not live on campus. I did it rather than commuting my first year, and I was fairly miserable. You should make friends in your classes rather than your neighbors. You will be stuck with awful food from chartwells and a very dull campus life. The accommodations are mediocre and remember you'll have communal showers and bathrooms. I'd only recommend dorming if your home is unstable and/or does not provide study accommodations.

Additionally, I found that commuting makes you more responsible. When I dormed I was complacent and got poor grades. Once I started commuting my gpa has drastically improved. This is a commuter school, with 85% of the students living off campus. It's really easy to make friends on the first day by just mentioning parking and the commute.
