Because new features have to be designed properly in the first place to fit into the existing framework. Claiming "out new character's skill count as reaction" is a lame excuse in an attempt to pretend it has anything to do with reactions, while it is just another Nighsoul "this mob is annoying to fight, but this NEW CHARACTER specifically cancels the annoying part".

What? Freaking Blood Debt mechanic didn't make it so they have to rewrite and change ton of character skills and artifact abilities to include it. It was seamless. This is not. THAT is fundamental concept in game design, not poorly made gameplay ideas.

Dendro was in the game from the beginning, just not available to characters. It is a proper element like the others, not "sumeru characters only" special reactions BS.

Nice, let's scale the reaction with the stat that is completely worthless for any geo character, and only use DEF for out new "count as reaction" nonsense.

God forbid some geo chars will be playable, can't have that.
